Wyndra Garner
I called customer service to correct the spelling of my name and they told me it would cost me $350. They was rude and hung up on me and everything. I understand paying a fee but not for a cruise to correct the spelling of my name. I don’t think I will ever go on another Royal Caribbean Cruise again in life if this is how they treat their customers. I was looking forward to this cruise but I’m not anymore. Xaa
Sounds like they misinterpreted it to be a change of guest not a change of spelling. That is something I would have my travel agent handle. If you booked directly, I would say just call back.

You had a bad customer service rep. This happens with most large companies. Call back and try again.
smokeybandit
$350 doesn't make sense even in the extreme case that the rep thought you wanted to change your cruise. Since it's free to change guests, it would be even freer (more free?) to change a typo in a name. mscinmia and Vancity Cruiser

CruisingNewb
One off. $350 for a name correction? Unlikely. Even a legal name change here in the US doesn't cost that much. HeWhoWaits and Vancity Cruiser 1

teddy
As a person who works retail and deals with customers daily, I have some thoughts of how your conversation with the Royal Caribbean representative went….. Anyway, fixing a misspelled name does not cost $350. Linda R
