Five People in an Ocean View - Is This Possible?

Our family has been trying to go on a cruise in the Mediterranean since 2020. In May 2021, our cruise was cancelled. In May 2022, a pregnancy and baby forced us to cancel our cruise again. Here in June 2023, we are finally hoping to make it happen. Now that there are five of us (including a baby who will have just turned 1 year old), we planned ahead and were sure to book in time to get an Ultra Spacious Ocean View that could accommodate all five of us. A couple days after we booked, our cruise was cancelled, so we booked again quickly and--phew--got an Ultra Spacious Ocean View again (yay!). But then, in July 2022, our ship (Brilliance) was swapped out with another (Enchantment), we totally missed the email notification and only now we are learning they have stuck all five of us in a tiny Ocean View room. And for the exact same price. No refund or discount. Grrrrr. This should be illegal. Anyway, Royal Caribbean is saying we can all five fit in this room, including the baby in a crib. But is this true? Has anyone done this before? I keep looking at the floor plan, and with two kids on the sofa bed, I simply don't see where a crib would fit.

I just looked at Enchantment to do a mock booking for the future to see "what's what".  There is a Spacious Interier that can sleep 6.
The 2 ocean view rooms only sleep 4, the Ultra spacous ocean view can sleep up to 8.

Did you uuse a travel agent, have them fight your fight, if not, you'll have to fight with Royal.
you can do a mock booking for the Enchantment for something like November '24 and check out the sizes of the cabins.  I do not thik you will be able to work a crib into those smaller cabins, nor do I think you should have to since they only hold 4.

I notice a lot of you are replying to OP about two rooms, that is good advice if they had not been booked in a room and then moved into another. They may not have the funds to reprice and such.

To answer OPs question, if the reps say you can fit 5 people in the room, then you can. They aren't talking about comfort as the rooms designed to hold 4+ people are designed for that and not comfort. The cruise lines aren't allowed to put more people in a room that cannot accommodate them. If you have your cabin number, it might be possible to look on YouTube and see how the room is configured.

Thank you for all your kind and helpful responses! And apologies I’m just now seeing them. Our room is 2032, so there is one pullman bed over the main bed, but not two. Two rooms does sound nice, but we have a 5-year-old, a 3-year-old and a one-year-old—pretty little kids who sometimes need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or otherwise need us and wake up earlier than us in the morning and all that. In other words, in this case there really are benefits to having everyone together in the same room. Plus, we don’t really want to give Royal Caribbean even more of our money when they have already, we feel, robbed us of what we rightfully paid for.
I think the last response in this chain really did answer the question: after calling Royal Caribbean several times, they said that yes, you can fit a crib in this room. It’s very hard to tell from the pictures, but apparently there is enough room to squeeze a crib either to the side of the main bed or at the foot of the main bed, and there’s still room for the couch bed to pull out too. Will it be comfortable? No. But we planned and paid for comfort and that was already taken away from us so it just is what it is. So long as it will *technically* work, that is our main concern now.
Thank you again!

I can appreciate what you are saying - when we travelled when our 3 kids were little, figuring out the right configuration was so important.   One time on Oasis, we booked a balcony that showed an allotment for 5 but there was physically no where to put the play pen.  Just my opinion but I would contact Royal again.  The cabin you are referencing only sleeps 4 which means the lifeboat set up will count 4 in your cabin.  Do you have a reservation that shows 4 people and another reservation showing 1 (and all showing the same reservation number).  I just don't want you to have any issues when you board.
