Achieving Diamond Class

If we get our 80th night in the middle of our next cruise, will we get the Diamond benefits then or only after the completion of the cruise?

The casino upgrades your level as soon as you get the requisite points.

Thanks

Status upgrades occur following the cruise you reach the point threshold on.  If you reach 80 points mid-cruise, you will receive your Diamond benefits on the following cruise.

The benefits always start on the following cruise from when they're earned. If you have another cruise before the points "post" and the status is updated (~10 days after cruise is completed), you should be able to go to the Loyalty Desk to have them update the account. I've heard numerous people do this for a B2B where the first cruise made the passenger qualify for the next tier so that the benefits could be used for the subsequent leg.

Sounds like it's time to upgrade! 🤣

I had hoped I could get the RoyalUp and accomplish that, but then realized the one thing the upgrade does NOT give you is more points.  We sail in 12 days so I guess we will just have to book another cruise 😄

Somewhere along the line we miscalculated and should have added a day, or should have booked at Jr on our upcoming cruise.  We will be short ONE point for Diamond Plus at the end of our trip.  😮

Oh that's rough to find out that miscalculation happened! I'm still quite a long way off before I get up to the Diamond (or higher) status. But I'll get there soon enough, and even sooner if I keep cruising solo like I have been.

Sounds like a great excuse for a 3 day cruise after this one, so you will be D+ on your next bigger cruise!!

We earned our Diamond status at the end of the first half of our b2b on Mariner. I spoke to the C&A rep on board to verify that we would have our Diamond benefits at the beginning of the 2nd half of the b2b. Our benefits were ready for us as we began the 2nd half of the cruise. Diamond is so much fun w/4 free drinks and the Diamond Lounge.  Enjoy your Diamond benefits. Sail On!

We did the same thing near the end of last year. The Casino asked us if we wanted to stay onboard for a B2B and we had reached Diamond points on the first leg. Made sure we would have the points added for the second sailing before we said yes and the second leg was much more enjoyable with the drinks and Lounge access.

We did the same.  Earned Diamond+ status after cruise 1 of a B2B and the C&A rep gave us new Sea Pass cards on day 1 of 2nd cruise showing our D+ status and the Diamond+ bennies activated.
