We will have been on the ship for 15 nights (barring onboard virus issues) before stopping at Coco Cay and Nassau.
Beaker
As of yesterday they had not changed their cruise passenger rules to this. The cruise requirements are listed in a separate section.
dv70
It's kind of unclear whether cruise passengers are affected by this rule or not. From the US Embassy website: https://bs.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/ Effective January 7, 2022, using a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test will no longer be accepted and children ages 2 through 11 will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken no more than three days (72 hours) prior to the date of arrival to The Bahamas. Children under the age of 2 are exempt from any testing requirements. Cruise Passengers: All travelers entering The Bahamas on a cruise ship are subject to the testing requirements mandated by the cruise line and approved by The Bahamian government. That second bullet point kinda suggests an exemption based on the cruise line's existing testing policy? CaribbeanCosmo and SPS 1
gavin923
Wow. This is spiraling quickly. This decision will definitely determine if we cancel our January 8 Symphony cruise. If Coco Cay is eliminated we will cancel - it’s the stop my wife is looking forward to the most.

That would be great! Hoping you are right. Wayland
This will be hard for cruise lines to manage. If I get my test 3 days before leaving on the cruise, by then time we arrive in Bahama’s, we’re going to be past the 72 hour mark for requirement. I don’t think they’ll be able to follow this. USA Today could have easily made it clear nothing thus far has changed for cruise ships but decided not to so. smokeybandit
USA Today seems to like to put writers on cruises in the hope there are cases on board. barbeyg and Swar

AmeliaDawg
I haven’t disembarked Nassau except for scuba excursion in 5 years and will pass on diving this January. Nassau is a dump. Tom in Florida and ChrisK2793
