Brenda Landry
Hello we are travelling on Symphony on April 6th. Looking for an inexpensive place for 6 people night of the 5th. Any recommendations. n
SpeedNoodles
You may want to define inexpensive as it means different things to different people.
Lovetocruise2002
My personal favourite is the Intercontinental Miami. It is not cheap though but you get bay views, great property, minutes (about 5) from the port. There's also the Holiday Inn Port of Miami (Downtown) which is literally 2 mins from the port. Both of these properties are within walking distance to Bayside Marketplace which is a great place for shopping, eating, and entertainment pre-cruise. There's also the Doubletree at Biscayne Bay. @Matt just stayed there recently. If you want to go further out, others have great reports on the Miami Brickell area. There is a Hampton Inn and Suites Miami Brickell there that has great reviews and the price is fairy decent.
SpeedNoodles
I got what I believe to be a decent price at the Atton Brickell - I couldn't find a bad review. But no way would I personally classify it as cheap. That's really a relative term.
twangster
I usually book flights to arrive later in the day so my interest in pools and location is reduced. By the time I arrive I just need a decent bed and not a dive. What are you looking for? Access to restaurants and night life important? FloridaCruiseGirl1210
We stayed at the Cambria Hotel near Miami Airport. Super nice place, spacious, realitively inexpensive for the area and free parking (we drove so it was important to us) Cons: No free breakfast
Brobbins246
For 6 people try a rental house for the night on a site like airbnb. I've had great success with those. SpeedNoodles
FireEMT978
I personally stay at the Hilton Miami Downtown. I like the property. And, rates have been very reasonable.
monctonguy
Need more information to give a recommendation...nothing here so far is inexpensive IMHO. With 6 ppl you need 2 rooms....quick look at the one mentioned above would be almost $1000 for 2 rooms...that's insane! Choose a cheaper nice hotel further out with a cruise port shuttle or take on Uber/Lyft in the morning...way cheaper! If you stay at the Hyatt Place, or Hyatt House, they often have rooms that can accommodate 6. Two double/queen beds and a double pull out sofa. If you just need a place to grab dinner, sleep and breakfast, there are some reasonable places at Blue Lagoon area. We stayed at Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon and have it booked for March as well as we arrived in the evening (and coming up will be dinner hour). There is also Homewood Suites Blue Lagoon which may accommodate more. There is also a Publix in the area for grabbing wine or other stuff. Matt
Two hotels I recommend downtown: DoubleTree Biscayne Bay & Intercontinental.
AshleyDillo
Hampton Inn & Suites in Brickell has rooms with 2 queen beds and a pull-out sofa. It could handle 6 and they have free breakfast.
WhiteSoxFan
I stayed at the Homewood Suites Blue Lagoon before with 5 of us in a 2 bedroom suite. Not too badly priced compared to two rooms. It is close to the airport It is located very close to the airport and you could easily Lyft/Uber to the ship in the morning.
