  1. Maybe this website wasn't supposed to go live yet?
  2. If you get 2 of the same type of drink (like your 2 lattes example) it looks like you are trying to use your package to get drinks for multiple people which is against the rules. However, if you bring 2 seapass cards showing each person has a package, you can get those 2 lattes without both people having to wait in line.
  3. BOGO 70% off is just another way of saying 35% off (when booking double occupancy). Royal's current deal is "up to $350 off + 30% off every guest". Doesn't sound very different to me.
  4. Even with the same room category, adding a third person triggers a reprice at current rates (which could be up or down depending on the current promotions but generally prices go up over time). If you've already got 3, the per person prices are locked and you can add more people at the same rate (assuming the room can handle it)
  5. They generally hold some excursion availability for people to book on board because not everyone realizes it can be done in advance. That's probably your best bet for changing now.
  6. You want to turn ON airplane mode to avoid connecting to the ship's cell tower.
  7. You can. However, if something happens and you are stuck on St Martin (or anywhere else) and need to fly home, then birth certificate and driver's license is not enough to board an international flight. It's probably rarer than a one in a million chance, but that's why passports are the recommended document.
  8. I suspect the answer may be similar to what happens for people that get married/divorced and are in the middle of a name change. Bring a document that officially connects the two names (marriage certificate/divorce papers). I'm assuming something like that exists for an adoption. You might also need something from the insurance company showing what name they have for her. This is an odd situation considering she's an adult but it should be explainable.
  9. At any time, you can use their automated phone system to send a copy of your invoice to the email associated with the reservation number. I would have done that immediately after the reprice. It may or may not help now, but try it and see what it sends you.
  10. If you are a frequent cruiser and work your way up to the Diamond or higher level of the Crown and Anchor loyalty program, you earn vouchers. If you spend enough time/money in the casino, they will offer you free drinks (because they want you to stay). You won't get a free drink just for playing one hand of blackjack. Basically, you'll get free drinks if Royal is getting enough of your money a different way!!!
  11. Bay Lake Tower is a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property which is basically timeshares. Most of the nicer Disney resorts now have a DVC section and there are also stand alone (DVC only) resorts. The rooms tend to be larger and/or include kitchenettes and multiple bedrooms so they can make sense for longer stays. DVC members have first dibs on the rooms but at some point (still months in advance), available inventory becomes rentable to anyone. The north garden wing of the Contemporary Resort was demonlished to make room for Bay Lake Tower. The Contemporary's main tower and south garden wing are still there.
  12. I note your Location says UK. There are differences in the booking rules due to more stringent consumer protection laws in the UK assuming you booked through Royal's UK website. Under pre-pandemic US rules, the no-show would have only received a refund for the port taxes and fees. The solo cruiser would still get the extra points though.
  13. I think that means they are already in the process of accepting/rejecting bids for your cruise so you can't change them anymore. That's only a good thing if your bid is actually accepted. So here's to hoping that's the case and they aren't allowed to tell you yet!
  14. If you declare your alcohol, they generally don't want to deal with the paperwork to collect a few dollars. But if you declared a LOT of alcohol, they still might or might not do it. If you don't declare your alcohol and nobody notices, you're probably not even the first that day. But if they do notice, they will be much more interested in filling out that paperwork for duties AND fines.
  15. Royal's website is only going to show a generic cabin in a general category. Please post your actual cabin number so we can help you figure it out.
  16. The definition of "not much play" probably varies quite a bit. A multi-millionaire might play five $1K hands of blackjack in five minutes, lose them all, and walk over to the theater. In their mind, they didn't play much but the casino host would love to offer them a free cruise because that was easy money.
  17. It's all about saving face. If they let the CSO expire on 10/31 while the pandemic/public health emergency order that inspired it is still active, it looks like they are admitting they lost the legal battle. By extending the CSO and adding an end date, it looks like they are working with the cruise lines and adapting to changing circumstances.
  18. Last I heard, almost every cruise port is listed as high Covid and based on their definition of high Covid, so is most if not all of the USA. So if you're comfortable traveling now/soon, I wouldn't worry about it.
  19. The only change recognized on your current cruise is reaching Pinnacle (the highest level). Everything else, you have to wait for the points to post to your account which normally happens 1-2 weeks AFTER the cruise. However, if you are going on more than 1 cruise in a row, you can talk to the Loyalty Ambassador on the ship to get your new status recognized at the start of the next cruise.
  20. If you were recently notified of the itinerary change (which I'm assuming is remove Labadee, add Coco Cay?) there are plenty of reports that it takes days for the change to be properly reflected in the cruise planner. All you can do is keep checking.
  21. Yes, many, many threads including this one include posts discussing pending and expired RoyalUp bids. Yes, all the balcony rooms may be sold out on your cruise but yes you may still get one. How? The people currently in those balcony rooms may be moving up to better categories based on their own RoyalUp bids. If you do get accepted, your first clue may be a credit card charge. If you are not accepted, your bid may not show as expired until after you have boarded. All you can do is wait and see.
  22. I love when first time posters resurrect a years old thread. How do they even find them?
  23. Three reasons come to mind. First, individual reservations cost more which means they make more money with them. So they are going to set a limit on how many UDPs they sell. Second, there is a limit to how many total specialty reservations are available each day and it is FAR less than the number of people on the ship. Every purchase of the UDP takes let's say 10 reservations off that total (for a 7 night cruise). Sure the big ships have more specialty restaurants but they still don't have enough capacity for everyone to dine that way for every meal. Finally, they need to hold back a percentage of the reservations for on board purchases (both individual and UDP). A surprising number of people book their cruise but nothing else in advance. I say surprising because it seems like everyone on the forums pre-books everything. That's because the people that research cruises and are active on forums tend to know WAY more than the average cruiser.
  24. Just for fun, I priced a few suites on a randomly chosen Oasis cruise in Feb 2023. In an Owner's Suite, guests 1&2 were $4900, guests 3&4 were $927. Total cost after discounts was $8600 after today's discounts (so $2150 per person). The most expensive suite available for that cruise is currently the Owner's Panoramic with guests 1&2 at $16,500 and guests 3&4 still at $927. Total costs after today's discounts was $24,800 (so $6200 per person). So watch out for that per person language, it may only be based on double occupancy.
