KSF happens once every couple of months but unfortunately, there is no predicting when it will happen.
Correct on no re-pricing after final payment.

No LV at terminal A as of August 3, 2019.

So, they won't throw us out of the CK or any of the specialty restaurants if my husband wears dress shorts with a golf shirt on Smart Casual nights?
No. The only time I actually witnessed someone being asked to leave CK was when they arrived for lunch wet from the pool and with no shirt on.

I also buy it for convenience. For me, once it hits a certain price point, I’m in. The other deciding factor is if I am with my kids or not.

I'm booked at the Hilton Downtown for January....your pics and post have me changing to Intercontinental. Hmmmmm
Yes, you should change it to the Intercontinental. Bay view.
@IslandBoundMama and @Sweety...Now I am really concerned about that Panoramic suite. It's category VP that you both booked right? Do we get suite benefits or not? Please keep me posted.
And @IslandBoundMama your son at the window reminds me of me lol. Hubby has quite a few pics of me staring out the window too.

Pretty crazy. Wonder if that's the new going rate for Oasis and Quantum class? It's still at $33 CAD for our Navigator and Adventure cruises.
Time will tell.

@WannaCruise someone in the FB group for my Harmony December 2020 sailing just posted that the Key has gone to $50 CAD!

The bathroom is HUGE!!!!
Overall I find their rooms to be way more spacious than a typical hotel room.

Excellent, that is the exact information I was looking for. Do those cars go fast, hot hard? Just curious, thanks.
They can. It just depends who you end up in a session with. I have heard of some who have gotten bruises and hurt their backs in the bumper cars.

Aw..I miss that place already!! Can't wait to go back in March!

I thought so too...I even checked my spam box to make sure it wasn’t filtered out in error.
We’re on our way to your favorite hotel now. I wish would’ve got Club Level, but not this go round.
Intercontinental?! Even non-club it’s a great property. If you have time, take your son to Bayfront Park next door and Bayside Marketplace. Great area for kids.

Yes he can go on with an adult since he is 6. You cannot reserve online. I would suggest that you show up early. We usually go about 45min before the posted time and there is a line forming by that time already. If you wait until 30min prior, be prepared for a wait for your turn.

I sailed Symphony in May and you went in July. I am among Adventure in May and you in July. What a copy cat you are!
Lol! I didn't even think of that! Are you doing the 9N too in 2020?

No kids. They want nothing to do with a Canada/NE sailing

Was this sailing a 9 night?
It's a 9 night on Adventure that I am considering for next July. Not sure if I'll be bored on Adventure for 9 nights (I'm #teamOAclass lol) but since it's more port intensive and we'll be out all day at each port, I am hoping it might not matter.

I almost forgot...on Navigator we will be in a Panoramic Suite (first time suite guests here).
Would love to see some pics (only if you have time) and how the full suite benefits go for you this sailing. We have one of these rooms booked next year and although it says you get full suite benefits now, I am really interested to hear first hand how that works out. I am assuming you got a welcome email from their suite concierge? Did it seem to include full benefits?
-
Not sure if we just got lucky or if it was because we got the port early but for the Anthem GC in July, all of our luggage the we left with the porters curbside were outside of our stateroom by the time we showed up at 1pm. It was such a nice surprise. Last cruise on Symphony we also got it by 1:30pm. But you never know, it can really vary.

entertainment (DCL wins on shows but RC wins for activities on the big ships)
I used to say this too until my kids turned about 9-10 and then got bored with the "Disney" type shows. Now, a few years later, I would have to say, DCL has the edge on shows if you have young ones but Royal has the edge with kids 10+. Unless you are a Disney fanatic...but that is a whole other discussion for another place and one I don't care to get into
1 hour ago, ScooterScott22 said:DCL either draws in the, or exists because of the neurotics and everyone goes crazy trying to book everything as far in advance as possible.
This is one of my major dislikes with DCL!!! It drove me nuts!

Really interested to hear about your excursions (Did you book them through Royal?) as I am started to research for Canada/NE for next year.

We are on the Symphony. We have 8 people traveling with us. It’s my parents, my grandma, my husband our two kids (D 3 and S 6) and my brother. Bare minimum to have this room! Lol. My goal is to not ever step foot in the windjammer.
What are the the chances of the room being ready at 12:00? Is it something we can request from the Genie?
Star class rooms are made a priority. They do not follow the 1pm time frame. From what I understand, the goal is always to get SC guests into their rooms upon embarkation. I can tell you that for us, when we boarded at 11:30am for HM, our room was already ready. Our loft attendant later told us that is the first room they do once guests leave.
From what I have heard from other SC cruisers, they have had similar experiences. The only ship where I have heard of them not being ready yet was Anthem.
I would think that 12pm is reasonable.
Tagging @CGTLH and @AshleyDillo because they did star class on SY.
Can’t wait to hear about your experience in the Villa. We just re-priced ours with KSF to make it around $1000pp. It’s was such a great deal!

Thanks! We don't go back till after Labour Day but I'll be in my room starting next week to get things ready. 32 is a high number to start with. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I stay at 23 which is my starting count. It's a nice relief from the last few years where I have started above 30 as well. Your countdown is slightly better than mine. 216 days for me till Oasis.
