I was wondering if any single ladies are going on the Allure Of The Seas cruise on December 11th 2016. I'm 31/white male going with my oldest boy and my family. Would love to meet an awesome woman to make friends with. Thanks!

It should be a fun and exciting day at Port Canaveral on Sunday 11/13. the Port Authority is holding  a special celebration at Jetty Park  from 3pm -6pm. I'll be there. I hope to see some of you crazy blog people there too!  :)

I was just wondering how many of you have received a "Free room Upgrade" after purchasing your cruise. As a Diamond Plus Member this is one of the perks listed but I guess I am not booking the right cruise or just not lucky enough to receive one of these yet.  There is still hope.  If anyone has been selected for a free room upgrade could you please describe your booking and circumstances.

Does anybody know why Freedom is still in port? My sister is on now and said captain made an announcement during dinner but she couldn't hear it.

Does anyone know if there is a spreadsheet view on Cruise Planner of all the Oasis Entertainment? I saw one for an Allure cruise years ago. I want to see everything so I can more easily make my selections.  The display options that I see Cruise Planner don't really work for me. I'm sure all of the planning nerds can appreciate my predicament   ;)  I may have to create my own Excel document.

Our email confirmation we got for our cruise shows an onboard credit. I've seen some people say it may show up for use with the cruise planner, but we're 7 days out and it isn't showing. We are traveling with others who booked the trip for everyone through a travel agent. I'm guessing that makes the difference.
 
Anyway, my real questions is this: Once we're on board, how does that credit work? Will any extra purchases we make be taken from that before being taken from our credit card used for the onboard expense account?

I vote we do a pre cruise meet up to get the party started!

I always bring a travel mug with me on cruises, and have never regretted it. This year, I am considering my choices:
 
1) inexpensive travel mug from Starbucks. These actually only cost $1.00, and I use a hotsleeve I have for another ceramic cup. (Not bringing the ceramic) This hods 16 ounces. Disadvantage: It doesn't keep the coffee hot that long. 2) I have a Stanley travel mug that resembles a Stanley thermos. It also holds about 16 ounces. Advantage: Keeps coffee hot a good long time. What travel mugs do you guys bring? And what do you think?

We will be in our first full suite on Liberty beginning Nov 13th. I booked a Grand Suite as soon as the sailings were announced and got a really great deal. I was told that we would receive an email from the concierge two weeks before the cruise. We are 6 days from sailing and nothing. We are traveling with 13 other people and 2 other couples also have a GS and have not received an email. I don't know what the email contains and if I should be concerned that we could miss out on some important info.
 
Anybody recently in a full suite that can chime in?

I didn't see a thread started on this yet so thought I'd get one started...just wanted to see who else is booked on the Harmony of the Seas group cruise sailing next September 16, 2017!
 
I've already put down my $500 deposit and will be coming along with my sister (she too is a cruise addict).
 
490 days to go! Really looking forward to getting to know you all more over the coming months and hanging out on the world's largest cruise ship together :)

PS -- I am going to try and do my first ever live periscope on Norwegian Pearl this summer to Alaska, still need to look into all the details about their Internet etc but the sailing is on 7/24/2016 and I'll be going with my wife and 4 other friends. Glacier Bay sailing out of Seattle (this is where I live too!)

Now that Royal has eliminated the different drink packages and there is only the one. I see it includes any drink up to $12. So if a drink or glass of wine costs more than $12, do I just have to pay the difference or is it just not included in the package?

Having stayed solo in a virtual balcony on Quantum, I can say it is a great experience!

Are there any secret menu items anywhere on board? Like a 4x4 at Inn & Out burger or a Peanut Butter and Bacon Burger at Steak and Shake? We're going on Oasis next month and Independence in January so either class would be great. Thanks!

I read this morning that Carnival's Liberty is dead in the water in Galveston due to engine problems. Is this causing any hold ups with embarcation on Royal Caribbean ships? There are only 3 slips, and at least 5 ships cruising there...

i just called and re priced our deluxe drink package which is now 25% off instead of 20% off. saved us just over 50$. Not much, but still!

Hi,  when you buy a soda drink package and you're gping to take a soda for example, do you need to present something to the employee in the bar? or you just go and take the drink of the fountain machine?  How it works?  Thank you

Any reports of the Drink Cards ever available on the Allure? (Alcohol Card for 10 drinks and also the Coffee Cafe one for 15 drinks)
 
Can you store items in the mini bar fridge? (I.e. buy a bucket of beer, and take a few back to the room for later)

I'm getting antsy for our cruise in a couple of weeks, and have pretty much run out of things to check on the RC site.  So this morning I decided to check out the Gifts and Gear section.
 
I see that they have the Unisex Terry Slippers on sale for $7.00, and figure, "Hey,  my wife is worth $7.00...I should order these for her to use in the cabin."
 
My question is on their sizes...which seem kind of odd (or maybe they aren't if you are a slipper buyer).
 
They offer two sizes:  Womens 6 / Mens 5.5  and Womens 10 / Mens 8.5.
 
Does anybody know what this means?  Does that mean the smaller size begins at a women's size 6 and goes up to women's size 10....or does that mean it is literally for a women's size 6?  (Meaning, maybe they are out of the other sizes and those are the only two sizes they have left.)

Does anyone know if Adventure Ocean activities for the 9-11 year olds (Voyager group) includes video games like the Wii U? All the research I've done seems to indicate that video games are for the teens. Was wondering if anyone who has been on a RC cruise with kids knows firsthand? Thanks!

My cruise on Allure of the Seas is getting very close and it has been a pretty busy year. I recently got married, and will be moving into a new apartment in three weeks. With all the changes, saving for my cruise has been put on the back burner. This cruise is my honeymoon and I'd like to splurge a bit. This is my first cruise without my parents, so I wasn't sure, but how much should I save for spending money? We will have our gratuities, specialty dining, drink packages, and shore excursions paid for, but how much would you bring to spend on a 7 Night Western Caribbean?

This is what I took from your post.  Essentially, you've given us a decision tree regarding the drink package.

I read that the characters from the movie "Trolls" were on the Harmony. Any news if they will also be on other ships like the Allure?

Royal has now implemented premium pricing for Thanksgiving week as well as the Christmas and New Year weeks.
