Kinda surprised that it's not at least a semi-regular thing on the Boardwalk area of the Oasis-Class ships. Seems like it would be a perfect fit there.

Looks like anyone going to or from FLL over the next couple days (at the very least) are in for some very trying travel issues.

Thanks for that link; looks like Celebrity Solstice will be at Pier 91 that day.  I've also checked which ships are in each port by looking at this site but I can't tell which dock (66 or 91) the ships are at:

It was no more hectic than any other port I've embarked at. (August 2022, 11:00am)
I think the issue may arise if more than one ship is doing it's turn around on your departure day. We had the luxury of Quantum being the only ship in port on a Monday morning.
You can check if other ships are departing on your departure date here:

SPS got a reaction from Bestcee in Medical request
The automated response is just a confirmation that your request has been received. You should also receive a personal response soon; generally, within about 10 business days once your request has been viewed by an employee.
Items requested should be in your cabin on embarkation day. If not, your stateroom attendant will make note of the items you need when they introduce themselves on embarkation day and deliver them by the evening. Typically, while you are at dinner.

We definitely want paper compasses. One of the reasons we like cruising is to unplug from our phones. I’d like to stow my phone in the safe and only bring it out to check it while in port.

I like the paper version also.  We like to plan ahead and go thru it together each night before bed.  We don't cruise until October (Jewel) but you can be sure that I request them as soon as we meet our cabin steward.

SPS got a reaction from rjweber3 in Air To Sea? Mei?
For Seattle (from the eastern time zone) I used Air2Sea last year. I liked it for the following reasons.
    1. I was able to get flight times that worked for us by Air2Sea offering flights on separate airlines without the additional charges that the individual airlines would incur for booking one-way.
    2. Thankfully, I did not need this, but they guarantee to get you to your cruise if flight issues arise by getting you on another flight/flights.
    3. Booking far enough in advance, I was able to add the cost of flights to my cruise reservation and pay it off over time instead of all at once.
    4. While the standard cost for economy flights is more than an economy flight booked directly, the airfare is refundable. (Also, the Air2Sea refundable rates are considerably less than the airlines refundable rates.)

@SPS Found this...not sure if it's the exact same still, this is from a few years ago and a different ship, but still leaving from TX so I assume it's pretty close to the same:

They have an OK selection while in Texas waters. Good opportunity to try a Shinner Bock if you haven’t before. Good stuff will come out as soon as they reach international waters around 7:30 or 8pm. Like others have said, Royal is just following Texas law, so don’t put blame on them.

FYI: Another really fun thing at Blue Lagoon is the Sea Lion Encounter! (Also it's a good deal cheaper to book Blue Lagoon's offerings at their website rather than through the cruise lines, but you probably already know that.)
