No info at this time. 3ish weeks is not much time so I doubt they will be doing much. Probably “under the hood” work.
As far as I know, other Voyager class refurbishments took between 3 and 5 weeks. However Adventure has already the perfect storm installed so they could add Playmakers and others updates.

Princess Medallion technology is game changer, however their app is garbage.
I wish RC could achieve technology like that combined with current Royal Caribbean App.

A couple of TAs have just showed up on Adventure. I'm guessing she must be due a dry dock because she's coming across from Orlando to Lisbon in October 2024 and returning a couple of weeks later. However, someone needs a geography lesson because despite being called "Transatlantic Azores" that eastbound one goes nowhere near the Azores.
Is there any info about this Dry dock?

Out of curiosity I checked Cats reservations for my Oasis sailing next week and there are still several options available for it lol. All other shows are sold out.
I was able to book Cats while waiting on the line for "no reservation" 30 minutes before the show. However I would try to secure Aqua80s and Ice show reservations in advance

I know that two years in advance is too much but I would think that one year before the cruise planner would be populated at least with internet, beverage and dining packages. Am I correct?

Hi! There are a few 1st for my wife and I on this trip.
1st time on a TA, 1st time sailing out of Barcelona, 1st time on Adventure!
Although there are still 698 days left for the trip we're very excited, hopefully we'll get to Diamond after this trip because we booked a JS and as far as I understand we'll be getting 26 points.
If anyone have any tips for this TA's newbies we would greatly appreciate it!

As far as I know, no excursion includes getting back to the ship as most of them ends in Fira. You have to either walk down, ride a donkey or use the cable car to get to the tender.

The only beverage package that truly includes canned soda is the DBP. The refreshment and soda packages only technically entitle you to fountain soda. Sometimes it is easiest for the server to serve you a can (even if you only have the refreshment or soda pkgs) but that’s an exception, not the rule. Since I am such a canned soda snob, that is one reason why I kept purchasing the DBP for so long. Now, it’s just not practical anymore so we no longer purchase any drinks pkgs. If I want a canned soda, I just pay for it.
It's weird because I went to GS and asked about this, they called the Food an Beverage manager, he came and told us that DBP and RBP includes canned soda. They also looked on their brochures and re-confirmed this.

It seems that there are problems on the beverage department. Me and my wife were on the previous cruise and had the Refreshment Package, asking for a can of Diet Coke was a hit or miss on several bars, even an officer tried to make me feel bad about asking for them because they were only available "a la carte". It's incredible that an manager of the beverage department isn't well informed on what the packages include and what not.

Thank you. I do love to stroll around and sight see.
Have you experienced a tour with a local? I see this has become popular these days.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to do much there because docking/pier delays.

Thank you so much! How many hours do you recommend for the private road trip if we just want to see sceneries, walk around in Fira and Oia?
5 hours at least. You don't want to be late to the ship. Getting back could be difficult with long lines on the cable car.
-
If you don't want to spend much you could stroll in Lahaina and then head to Kaanapali. I would recommend to rent a car with anticipation. If you dock on Kahului there are several car rental options near the port. If you tender near Lahaina there will be easier for you just walk instead of renting a car.

Hi there,
We are family of four (kids 10 and 13) going to take the Greece and Croatia cruise next summer.
We are not sure about shore excursions, but would like to hear your recommendations. Are there any shore excursions you took and highly recommend in Split, Santorini, Mykonos and Dubrovnik, particularly in Santorini?
In these ports is it easy to walk around or take local bus to different sites? I was thinking, for example in Santorini, if not taking any excursions, we will take a local bus from Fira to Oia first, spend some time there, then take bus back to a few stops before Fira to walk along the cliff trail back to Fira. Does this sound easy and doable?
Thank you very much for your information.
In Santorini I would recommend a private island tour with santorini-roadtrips.com. You will go exactly where you want to go and take your time wherever you want. If you don't know where you want to go they will have several suggestions.
In Mykonos I took a semi-private tour with mykonoscruising.com but I wouldn't recommend it, instead I would walk the town by myself and then head for a beach-club.

This is Bacalar, It's a beautiful place. I wouldn't go without a tour, it's more than 1 hour away (56 miles aprox).
If you don't want to spend so much in this tour you could take a taxi to Mahahual and look for a bar or restaurant next to the beach to spend the day. Very beautiful as well.

Is anyone having trouble checking out their cart. I keep getting an error about my card. I tried multiple cards and still the same error...
2 hours ago, nickpants said:I have a pending charge on my amex, but it never went through on the website, what a mess!
1 hour ago, AhoyRCL said:Same for me. I cancelled some excursions and went to rebook...my Credit Card gave me a push notification of the charge at $495 but the site said it didn't go thru.
The same thing happened to me, I thought it was my card so I tried two times, but then I received a confirmation mail from RC and a notification from my bank, even do the page showed that they couldn't process my card. I'm not sure if I will be charged two times or even if my purchases will be honored by RC. What a mess.
And then I tried to check the suites prices for my sailing but the page keeps showing and error saying that there aren't any connecting cabins available when I'm not searching for connecting cabins, weird.

What is the best way to get from the MIA Car Rental facilities to the port after returning a car?

They’re giving the customers what they want.
I'm not sure that customers want awful, greasy, stale food when on Labadee.
CocoCay food for example is in a whole other category compared to Labadee food.
-
I remember on my last visit to Labadee the food was also inedible. I don't know why they can't do something about this.

Hi! We're sailing on a 6-day Odyssey cruise in a few days and have been checking the MDR menus to plan our dining ahead but even as we approach embarkation day there is no lobster night showing up on the menu. Is this a matter of the menus not being accurate/updated or is there no lobster night on our cruise?
I sailed on Odyssey on June and we had a lobster night.
I should wait to be on board.

I would write to M Bayley with the name of this concierge... this is simply unacceptable

Would technology like Princess Medallion help in this scenarios?
I understand that they can track you anywhere on the ship, with this tech they would be able to quickly track down any passenger still left on the ship.
Amplified Schedule...

Adventure of the Seas seems to have scheduled a dry dock from Nov 6 -24, 2024.
I hope at least it gets Playmakers.
