Beside, the view on New York skyline and the Statue of Liberty is better after sunset, you are getting a view for free what others are paying to see.

Weird thing happened on my Oasis 9/19 sailing...check-in briefly opened, but only time slot was 3pm for a wellness check, then a few seconds later it disappeared and then it showed check-in not available and that they will email us. Royal IT at it again with their glitches.

Thursday - 2 days before the day you need the results, Day 2
Wednesday, 3 days before the day you need the results, Day 3
Tuesday, 4 days before the day you need the results, Day 4
Monday, 5 days before the day you need the results, Day 5

Not me.  They are reacting and adapting, a lock quicker than the CDC.  
MSC still says no test for vaccinated yet they tested everyone at the port yesterday, vaccinated and unvaccinated,  including people who paid for tests for unvaccinated kids in the days before.  They wouldn't accept those test and retested every single person who boarded.  That isn't written anywhere in policy.
Cruising during the restart is going to take some flexibility.  Things will change sometimes daily.  

So as someone who never wins anything when it comes to drawings or raffles I received this email from Royal today while I was out and about. Super excited to see where they are going to assign me and trying to figure out logistics of making it onboard! I would love to hear if anyone else has received anything or even further details. I know one of the test cruises is on Wednesday.

Finished our Antigen test, all negative, and the test took 25 minutes for an answer. Did not have to wait around, they called us. Scheduled on their app. Will get an "official" report from the clinic later this evening. Had to find a CVS that was giving the antigen test, all do not and no Walgreens in our area were. Now we are ready to fly and sail!

It's either.  I've had several tests (all PCR) over the past year and I've never received anything other than an email stating positive or negative, so I don't know what else they could possibly ask for.  I've never had access to any sort of paper report.

Well I'm on my last full day onboard of Anthem OTS and about to go and get tested onboard for our back2back sailing next week...and guest services rang...their land based team informed them that unvaccinated kids cannot do back2back sailings!!!  The land based team told crew that they had already communicated this policy to us.  They hadn't and all onboard with kids doing a back2back were informed this morning that they are being kicked off tomorrow!  I booked the back2back directly with RCL ... appealing behaviour!
But apparently I can take the kids back home, where the covid rate has sky rocketed, let the kids run a higher risk of picking up the virus, and then return a week later, do a PCR test on all passengers and if negative, reboard the ship with the same unvaccinated kids.  But I'm not allowed to get off tomorrow, pop down to the testing centre near the port, take a same day pcr test, and reboard the ship later on in the day as a new passenger.  But turning up next week and doing the same is fine.  BONKERS !!!
We thought we had 2 weeks onboard so had spread out all the activities and were due to do certain activities/shows next week.  If we had known beforehand then we would have at least been able to pack everything into one week.  As it is I'm only being offered refund on next week's cruise and no compensation for this week's cruise!  Very poor behaviour so far ... all I get onboard is "we're so sorry" ...

I am hearing that you can do drive through rapid tests and they don't really ask you why you're there since you're sitting in the car?

You didn't pay because you were in close contact. If it's for travel that's different, you pay for that. Had to do that earlier this year to travel.

Especially if your are going to Alaska, First they make me wear a mask then cancel my excursions because we are spending less time in 2 of the ports. Now we have to get tested at our own expense. We are taking a wait and see approach. My TA said today she's getting a lot of unhappy customers and we can cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before our ship is to sail. I'm going twice next year so waiting until next year isn't a big deal. I'm really hoping there won't be anymore of these restrictions or changes.

Yes, it was cancelled!  I felt the earthquake where I live (Kenai Peninsula).  I heard the tsunami warnings going off for a couple of hours before it was cancelled.  The earthquake felt a little different that others in that there were no hard jolts, but just a long 2 minutes of moving and swaying.  My hanging lights and chandelier just swayed back and forth, and there was enough movement that my grandfather clock stopped!  That was rare!  People along the coast do take this seriously, and I watched a steady stream of cars evacuating low lying areas.  The news reported that some of the coast guard ships based in Kodiak left port and headed out.  While out on the water, a tsunami is usually barely detectable, and only materializes once it gets close to shore in shallow water.

There are a lot of people not happy with this news myself included but with so many people across this country choosing not to get vaccinated COVID cases are once again on the rise as this Delta variant continues spread unchecked throughout large portions of this country where vaccinations are low.

We're on Odyssey on July 31, too.  We found a place to get rapid tests locally before we fly tomorrow because we don't want to get stuck waiting at the terminal.  But this whole procedure (and ridiculous lack of notice) has really increased our stress levels, instead of getting us in proper mood for a cruise.  

There is no way to get us tested by the 31st to sail on the Odyssey. They said the following though:
Understanding that your sailing is around the corner and you may not find the time to get tested, we will offer complimentary testing and shuttles to an adjacent terminal where testing will take place. However, we strongly recommend you come with a negative test result to avoid waiting and delays in boarding.  

Very unfortunate.  Way too much testing of non-sick people going on and almost exclusively to protect people who won't get vaccinated.  
RCI should be allowed to sail 100% vaccinated cruises.  Florida, much more than the CDC, really messed things up for them.
