Also @asquared17,  if it's paid for before the cruise, the guests are on the ship with a fresh wallet which is conducive to more spending.

I think at one iteration of the screen name musical chairs this person did admit that like to vomit controversial topics so that it engages the excessive responses that are witnessed even on this thread. Too much money involved and not going to happen. It makes for prime people watching so I personally encourage the excessive drinking! Isn’t it vacation anyway and people are entitled to do what makes them happy. I think you need to just sit in your stateroom and order room service for 7 days because the sun, fun and excessive drinking are not going away. On that note, I am very much looking forward to multiple pina coladas by the pool on Icon all day every day for vacation! If luck serves me right, I will still be drinking free Red Stripes in the casino all night while I piss away my good fortunes and kids financial future but it’s vacation!

Personally I would avoid a card tied directly to a bank account under almost every circumstance. The negatives outweigh the positives and most credit cards offer excellent fraud protection. 

Yes and No - Yes - Because that's what pays the bills - Kids want all the things bought for them, so families, from a financial perspective, pay the bills more than "loyal" guests or solo guests. Also, new = flashy. Which gets eyeballs and sells cabins. 
No - there are neighborhoods to spread out the passengers. Adults can chill where they want, just have to be aware of where the kid areas are. 
I cruise solo, but also have a lot of friends who cruise with their kids, so I don't mind the kids so much. Do I care about solo cabins, nope. They're overrated IMO as they don't show any price value. Would I like more solo/single services, sure, but I don't need them. 
Cruise VACATIONS are what you make of them. Doesn't matter if it's Enchantment or Icon - I'm on a cruise - that is all that matters to me. YMM (and will) V

Come to Fort Lauderdale we have Publix, Publix Greenwise and Trader Joe’s all within 1 Sq/Mile!!

We really enjoy the Las Olas Boulevard area for shopping and dining (and there are a number of places that are relatively reasonable to stay overnight nearby also). It is lively and wonderful in the evenings! 
 
@FSUFAN I have 4 Publix stores within about 3 miles of me, I will be glad to send one to you 😬 I will trade you for a Trader Joe’s!

There’s chair hogs and then there’s Freedom 3 or 4 night out of Miami chair hogs. I have seriously never witnessed more hog sightings at 06:00 on any other voyage we have been on. Keep in mind we are D+ and sail the Freedom weekend voyages quite a bit. I would say 60-70% of the chairs and 100% of the prime locations had either a book or a towel on them and it was still dark out. This happened every single morning and I witnessed it while taking my AM walk. 

Based on the leaked information I would say that RC designers have done an exceptional job dialing in the resort experience for the Icon. Why on earth would anyone want to get off the ship? I think we found our ship for Thanksgiving 2024!
