Have you ever rented a cabana or beach bed?

I have rented a cabana on my first and only time at Coco Cay.  I will definitely do it again.  I like having it as a meeting place.  That allows my family to disperse and know where to come back to. Yes, you could do that with just a beach chair but I like to think the cabana is a little bit more secure.  If it is not, please don't burst my bubble. LOL

So we have tried everything we can and our last resort is going to be writing a statement declaring she is who she says she is and getting a pustice of the peace to sign it.

Unfortunately, without a picture ID on the written statement, how does one know that the written statement is for the person holding the paper?

My husband almost got in trouble for a similar issue.  When making reservations for a cruise, he told the TA that is name was 'Tom'.  But on his passport and driver's license, his name is listed as 'Thomas'.  You would think that a 60 year old man would know this by now.  It is no difference than when you purchase airline tickets.  I found out his mistake a week after we booked the cruise.  But it was still a hassle to get his name changed on the reservation.

Good luck with getting a picture id.  I know that in the states, we can get a non-driver's ID thru our motor vehicle department.

  3. I agree that all price increases are crazy.  Between the pandemic, the Ukraine war, the crazy weather, and the increase of minimum wages, our world has changed.  I am fortunate that I can still afford to cruise.  However, I may need to choice a different room type to afford the cruise.  While the balcony or above is nice, I will take an interior room just so I can cruise.

https://optioncarehealth.com/  They are an infusion care company and I think their policies are different than pharmacies.  We have a call into them, but so far no luck with how they can help us.  It would be great if they could ship the supplies to RCL in Norway and RCL could deliver them to us on the Anthem.  But so far that doesn't look like it can happen.

I went to that webpage.  It seems like they have over 125 sites in the US but they don't say anything about international.   But I did find the following:

Plan your infusion therapy care for travel

With enough advance planning, you can safely travel while on infusion therapy. To get started, here are a few things to consider when planning a trip:

    • Notify us when you begin making your travel plans so we can help address your specific travel needs
    • Tell your physician the details about how you plan to travel and where you will be staying
    • Contact the companies with which you will be traveling and the places you will be staying to let them know about special accommodations you will require (eg. refrigerator)

The TPN supplies are only for one week at a time, so not sure what to do about a two-week cruise.  Looking for help with this.

I don't know where you get your TPN supplies but often pharmacies will give you more than usual if you explain  you are going on a trip.  At least that is what happened with my husband's prescription medication.

Good luck.  I hope you and Ceil gets to visit Norway.

  6. I found this information when I did a google search:

Not sure that it's "dedicated" but when I press 9 after dialing 800 526-9723 they answer "thank you for calling Royal Caribbean's Diamond Plus desk".

WARNING: The information is from 2016 so take it with a large grain of salt.

Then I read this one from 2021:

footnote 9 "....Diamond Plus members and their travel agents can contact a Loyalty Specialist to select an amenity by calling (800) 526-9723 and pressing 9 at any time during the greeting message. All orders are per household and will be selected according to the primary member selection in the relationship. Hours of operation: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. (ET)."

  7. I will be taking a cruise in July.  I plan on taking the train to Rome.  It will either be a 8 min taxi ride or a 30 min walk to the train station.

There are 2 different trains you can take.  The local train will take about an hour and a half (depending on your stop) to get to Rome.  They run 2 or 3 trains an hour.  No need to pre-purchase the tickets.  The second option is for the express.  There is 1 morning express train that departs 9:16 am.  That one will only take about 45 minutes. The cost is about $29 pp. I am still researching this information so it may not be accurate.

I have attached the train's timetable.
