So after check in there is a bar code, but no numbers.  Using a camera, "read it" and you will get the numbers for the bar code. The last 4 numbers is the room assigned (unless more than floor 10), but subject to change.

Taking Vision back to the US on Friday, so I will let you know. We took a TA over to Europe (Anthem - it was a bathtub sailing). Just finished our testing (still required,  although Carnival and NCL no longer require based on amount of days).

Before MAR 2020, I kept a database (with lots of input from this fantastic board).  Below is the data (a small sample, but with some trends if you look at it).  My plan is to start up again (as soon as the sailing begin ... I should have said that louder ... AS SOON AS THE SAILINGS BEGIN! ... and they will).  A few observations:
1).  A few get assigned very far in advance.  These appear to be outliners (and the frequency may come down over time with more data).
2). Just over a month before there is an inflection point where almost half have their assignment set.
3). Almost all have been set 10-19 days before sailing.
4). All have been assigned by the time you board. ?

We are thinking of doing back to backs as a cheap housing strategy while doing our Nomad years.  The biggest problem I have with RCL is lack of self service laundry on ships. We are only Emerald, and part of me wants to push through to Diamond,  but perks are not worth it.
I started when Dickie was fired.  Football only got good after I left. Now the Hurricanes 🌀  was different.  We were number one a few times back in the 80s.  Loved taking Metrorail to the Orange Bowl.

@Audrey V. you got a few years on me. I was class of 98 out of UF. But I was also there for the spurrier glory years. With the occasional loss to fsu in those days. My wife and I will be diamond after our next cruise. We may check out celebrity after that.

Yep, as long as you specifically bought the ones that come with the proctored service like we did you'll be just fine.

So, here we are in Wikiki getting ready to board the NCL Pride of America for a 7 day cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. We've been staying at the Hyatt Regency on Waikiki Beach. Went happy hour tonight and here is what we saw when we walked into the poolbar. A WHOLE new spin on a chair hog! 😎
PS-This trip is for our 50th wedding anniversary and RCL does not have a package deal like this. Will let you know how the Pride of America was.

We still have the Navica app on our phone from last year. You can still download the app without issue. Set up your account ahead of time and when ready to begin the test, just scan the QR code on the box (don't open it), connect and go. We're using these for our Odyssey TA on the 31st. Very easy process and no appointments necessary.

Have you gone to https://passportstatus.state.gov/ to check the status?  If it has been more than 10 weeks and you are not getting help from the state department, you could consider reaching out to your congressional representative. They can submit an urgent inquiry on your behalf to the appropriate U.S. Passport Agency officials, asking them to provide the status of your Passport, and if necessary, to request their assistance in expediting the processing and completion of the Passport.

5+ years ago that was the case.  Her issues are minor compared to where she had been.  She is back to work and living a normal life.  Thank heavens.

Another concern may be the balcony room. Even with the blackout shades, the Alaska cruise stays very sunny. May want to consider an interior room if light is an issue.

We view cruising as a 4 week time-share (two B2B's annually). And with sons in FL and CA, we combine visits with them with our sailings.

Okay, for some really cheap tricks, but unfortunately,  not the band.
Clean your formal wear when you get back home. Ditto for heavy or bulky items.
Get some clothes that dry quickly when handwashing. Think nylon or wicking material. Costco and Macy's carry 32 degrees.  The shirts dry quick.
I have not done this one, but the room is good for magnets. Put up a clothesline while you sleep with heavy duty 🧲 magnets.
I admit to this one. The pool towels can be easily replaced at the kiosk. Press your hand washables to get most water out of it before hanging to dry. Exchange for fresh towels.
I use hand wash for clothes while traveling.
My husband swears by this one: a stained t-shirt looks better after some time in a hot tub.
