Maybe RCL has had issues of individuals not properly securing the chair backs when adjusting them or children/adults getting a finger caught. Securing them with a zip tie may be their way to proactively prevent this from happening? Just my thoughts.

It has increased my (cruise) performance.
"Before DP340 I had a hard time getting my points up. It took forever. Once I discovered DP340 my points started to go up and up. It's been a game changer."
DP340 - Endorsed by twangster and divorced men sailing solo everywhere.
It excites me to see your Stiff endorsement of "DP." With the cost of Things going "Up and Up" we must erect a stiff front if we wish to beat it.

In 20 cruises I've had one itinerary change and that was recently with haiti.
I have had a few Itinerary changes but the one that broke my heart was the Egyptian port in June of 2013. I so wanted to see the Pyramids but Royal changed ports on us for the silly reason of an Egyptian coup d'état and rioting in the streets. Royal could have provided armored vehicles and Military support for our Tour to the Pyramids but NO, they took the cheap and easy way out and simply changed the port.

I'm curious how long it'll take for them to open up reservations now that the cat is out of the bag.
Now that the cat is finally out of the bag do we have an answer to Erwin Schrödinger's question ?

I am reading this to say that all Transatlantic, Transpacific, and Panama Canal sailings are eligible for this discount. I have been watching 2 transatlantic sailings for Nov. and both of them still say that 340+ discount is not available for this sailing. Maybe it has not been pushed by IT yet?

My bank will notarize something like that for me for free--not really a big deal. I have had to occasionally have work documents notarized, and I just call to check to see when someone is available (usually an assistant manager).
My bank will notarize for free as well. It does help that my wife is the VP Branch Manager though.

Plastic luggage floats pretty good. Toss it overboard and have your friends fish it out. What could go wrong?
j/k j/k j/k j/k j/k!!!
Security: What was in the luggage you just tossed overboard?
Passenger: Honest Sir, It was just socks and Underwear. I swear it wasn't Drugs or a body! Trust me.
Just a joke here!! In no way am I suggesting this poster or anyone else would do such a thing.

Last time we just put a box of diapers in a tote bag and put a luggage tag on it. It was sitting outside our room with the rest of the luggage that night. But we brought extras in our luggage also. Not sure what we would have done if they hadn't shown up...like the poster above mentioned.
If the "Box" doesn't show up at your cabin just have your steward bring many extra towels and pillow cases?

Thanks, @BigKarl. I figured I could not use a VPN. Not sure where to find those settings but I will look again when we get to Costa Maya.
You can try using this guide if the ship uses the "Edge" Browser but I don't remember how locked down the security is on RCL Computers? You may need to request a crew member to change it.

Thanks ! I am not having this problem at all on any of my own devices. This is strictly an issue with the Royal laptops on board. I cannot use a VPN with them, can I ? My devices seem to be fine but there are some functions that are just easier to complete with a laptop. It really just seems to affect Yahoo. I am able to access everything else I need to…but just not Yahoo and just not in Mexico. All other ports or while at sea, are fine.
Let me see if I have this right and give a couple of answers.
1. As to the VPN, No, Setting up a VPN requires some software installation and Administrative rights to do so on RCL's Laptop. I am pretty sure they won't allow it to be installed.
2. The browser on the laptop can be set up to translate the page you are trying to access from Spanish to English. Each Browser has a different way to do this. My suggestion is to ask the people running the computers to assist you in the Yahoo page translation.
If you have done this already, please disregard and we will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

Hmmm... I wonder if I told them I was Super Marios brother I might be bumped up to his status? 10,000 cruise points would be nice.

Looking for any and all information regarding Travel/Health Insurance. I invited relatives to Join us for a non RCL cruise and was told that I could not purchase insurance for them from the cruise line because they are from New York? I know there are many of you that use insurance groups for their vacations and I am looking forward to your input to make my decision.

I am sure it is just me but in @Matt's new blog post today doesn't the new arcade game attraction look like it is flipping the bird ?
