Congratulations on reaching Pinnacle, Linda R !!  Once we complete our 3 (so far) cruises in 2024 we'll be close to D+ but I really don't see us ever getting to Pinnacle.  Maybe the Ultimate World Cruise (or multiple segments) would do it??!  We used to live in Seattle also.  Have been gone for 12 years now.  Thanks for your tips!  We're in the process of looking for an agent.

I do get them more quickly than my wife, but I get bored quickly too, so I have a lot less play time than my wife.  I really don't lose too much to be honest and I find value in the casino comps that exceeds my losses, so for me it is a win.

We’ve decided on Apex. Just waiting to hear back from the TA. I was doing some mock bookings on Apex and they’re obviously holding cabins back because it would only show one cabin available in each category. Hope it’s not already gone! We do have Indy on hold but I’m not thrilled with it.

Hi! Norwegian guy here, first of all I have not visited Molde, but the others I have visited up to many times. I live in Kristiansand south Norway, but Have family in Bergen and near Geiranger, also my grandmother was from near Stavanger.  Personally of these I would choose the apex one. I think that will give the best of Norwegian Nature.
Since we are discussing Norway I will give some other advice as well that people here have asked me about

    1. Visiting Stavanger I would choose to go to Lysefjorden (and/or Preikestolen/ The Pulpit 10/10 times instead of Stavanger city centre, in my opinion even if old town is ok, almost all the other city centres in south western Norway is much nicer (Like Bergen, Stavanger, Førde, Kristiansand, Mandal, Arendal/Arendelle (yes the city from Frozen is 45 minutes away from me)
    2. I would always reccomend western or northern Norway as opposed to eastern Norway. So if anyone is flying to Norway I would recommend Bergen instead of Oslo every time. Yes Oslo is the capitol with all that entails but if you want to see Norwegian nature and scenery avoid Oslo, go to either region Vestlandet (Bergen and the big fjords like Sognefjorden) or Lofoten (Northern Norway, with amazing isles), or even southern Norway (my city Kristiansand is amazing in July).
As I said before on here feel free to ask me about specific things in Norway (even if I do not know the exact place I am sure that the info I can find in Norwegian is more accurate and comprehensive, I love to help!)

I do not know of any specific drink right now.  But I often just go to a bar and just ask them to make something without alcohol.  Often I will go back and ask what it was so I can have it again.

I like that it's become more of an optional thing, people who want to do it can do it- and look great, and go get pics. Others who don't want pictures or want to lug around a suit or fancy dress can go as they please, as well.

If going to the MDR in shorts on formal night shows a lack of respect, I've given the finger to thousands. LOL.
If anyone's good time on a cruise relies on what other people are wearing......then folks your missing the boat. Literally. LOL.

My wife likes dressing up on dress to impress nights and I just comply with her desires (happy wife, happy life).  She likes the buildup to the evening by getting her hair done, picking a dress, and making sure I have a coordinated outfit to somewhat match, and looks forward to eating and going to the show as a cute couple afterwards.  At the same time, we are not critical of how other people dress and it just becomes a you-do-you and we-do-us thing as long as everyone is happy.

Last cruise we decided it was a one suitcase trip and left the hoity toity at home. But, on Formal Night we ate in the Windjammer out of respect for the event and folks who want to dress nicely.

25 years from now, I'll still watch 3 elevators in the bank go past my floor while the elevator one floor away just sits there.

Registered sex offenders are not allowed to cruise. The cruise lines run the manifest a few days before sailing and they will call you and let you know you can't cruise.

I cruise a few weeks a year.  And have been cruising since the 80's.  Just turned Pinnacle this year.  I always use a a travel agent.  I research cruises and choose the ones I would like to book and pick the stateroom I want.   I mostly book a cruise as soon as it becomes available to get the best rates.  My travel agent is in Seattle area, where I used to live.  I now live in Montana and still use her.  She has been my TA over 30 years.   Mostly she has helped with issues/problems I may come across with cruises.  Any problem she is right there to take care of it.   Faster and with more knowledge than I have.   Saved me lots of money and many hours of time.  She can also help with any transportation I need, hotels, and tours.   I highly recommend using a TA all the time.   They can save you so much time and money.

Oasis class is my favorite.  I like newer ships.  More restaurants, entertainment, etc.  Of the Oasis class my favorite is Symphony.   Anthem  class  I also enjoy, especially Odyssey.   Have not been on Wonder or Icon yet.  Have Icon booked for 2 weeks next year though.  I had to cancel Wonder 2 week cruise last month.   Except for Wonder I have been on every ship Royal Caribbean has.

It’s not about booking the cruise.  It’s about who’s there to fix it when a problem occurs.

Unfortunately I doubt if you will get higher that Jr Suite because they will offer Royal Up's to suite guests.  They will bid on larger suites leaving Jr suites left.

Someone who can word these things much better than I can jump in to explain this but it has to do with the number of seats available in each lifeboat at a specific muster station.

Your cabin, the GS, has a specific muster station that has a specific lifeboat assigned to it. That specific lifeboat has a certain number of seats. Once those seats are all taken, you cannot add anymore to your cabin even if your cabin can hold them, because if there was an emergency, the lifeboat would be overloaded.
