Linda R reacted to SpeedNoodles in Royal Up bidding process is different
I've been able to review my bids right on the Cruise Planner. I find it much easier now since it's all in one place.

Linda R reacted to MrsHFQ in Discounts on Drink Packages and Excursions
We had the drinks package booked for our September cruise and saw yesterday that the price had reduced by quite a bit. We rang customer services to check the price for our cruise, cancelled the package we had booked and booked at the reduced price. No hassle at all.

Deals on packages don’t exist anymore.

Linda R reacted to steverk in Luggage Tags???
Wow. I've never received such an email. Instead, I've always had to look on the website.
One quick hint. When I download the pdf of the tags, I can open them in a browser and add our names in the blank. That way, the names are clearly legible when printed.

Linda R got a reaction from emmef in Suite Class?
I cruise in Jr suites all the time. You can have dinner in CK nightly, but have to make the reservation on a daily basis. Go there in morning and make reservation for that evening. On rare occasions they might let you make reservations for other nights. The first night of the cruise is filet mignon night, I suggest you go to CK as soon as you board and get reservations for that night. Your room card will not open the doors for CK or suite lounge. You have to knock on door for them to open. You also do not have access to suite lounge. Your cabin will be larger. On Odyssey the Jr suite has 2 bathrooms. Also you will have a nice separate shower and a tub. The cabin will have a coffee/tea maker. I love the Jr suite on Osais class as you have a walk-in closet. Enjoy!

Linda R reacted to Ticca in Best cruises/ports for those on a mobility scooter/disability
Unfortunately I don't have any information to give you. But I am hoping you would share your thoughts about cruising with a mobility scooter. My parents are very excited to start cruising and I would love some suggestions. My Dad is wheelchair bound, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think this is only available on Oasis and Quantum class.

Linda R reacted to WAAAYTOOO in Grand Panoramic Suite Allure of the Seas
Both @twangsterand I have previously booked this suite on OA. To date, this is my favorite suite of any I have stayed in. It’s enormous. The only downside to this suite is the awkwardly narrow balcony. For such a big suite, the balcony is very small. Frankly, we never even got in the hot tub but it appeared to be a genuine hot tub. I think @twangsterdid use it when he had that suite. I definitely recommend this suite. It’s much more convenient than the ATS due to its proximity to the other Suites amenities.

How dare adults unwind on their vacation upon boarding the ship!! 😂🤣😂

I actually did not know you could order thru your TV. But make sense, as they are getting away from printed papers. Thanks

I find it amusing (and somewhat distressing) that some write they need to start drinking the moment they get onboard.

Yup! We ordered the night before at around 7:00 p.m. for a 7:00 a.m. delivery. That was the earliest we could get. Room service actually showed up at 6:40 a.m.! Mad scramble to find pants so I could actually open the door for the lady. 🤣

We had the breakfast hang cards on our cruises this year, including one last month. But they are not often sitting out, they were in a bottom drawer. If I do not see them in the future I will ask for them.

Not really understanding your question/problem. Both cruises involve a foreign port, thus would not see a problem with PVSA rules.

Linda R reacted to TravisMA81 in 2nd Icon Class Cruise Ship
I wouldn't mind if they took a couple of those smaller ships and made them adults only. They could updated some of the venues and style. They might find a new interest in those older ships. I would never go on one of them now, but I might if they were updated and adults only.
