If it wasn't just guarantee cabins, then that'd mean there are multiple reservations booked in the same cabin, which would be bad.

It would be interesting if it could be confirmed whether this is truly a "guarantee"-level booking issue.  Can I know I'm "safe" from adverse selection if I pony up the money to choose my own cabin? And, conversely, can I assume going forward that the risks of oversubscription and denied boarding are only hobgoblins of the guarantee? If so, there's some opportunity here for people with the right flexibility. 
I travel for work and for years (pre-Covid) could usually plan on my Friday flight home from some of our offices having a decent shot at being oversold.  Other flights were, too, but if I was just going home I'd game that when I had the right flexibility.  I also knew how it worked, though - i.e., oversold or not, I knew that my elite status in the frequent flier program would likely defend me against an adverse selection/denied boarding situation if I didn't want to make a quick buck for hanging out in the Sky Club a while longer and taking a later flight. 
Once the rules can gleaned through observation (they'll probably never come right out and tell us), this could be a great opportunity for the right traveler who doesn't necessarily need to care about exactly when they sail but would value a stunningly good deal (some locally-based retirees might come to mind).  I.e., observe the macro factors that some have pointed out here (spring break week locally, one of the first cruises the casino folks can use a certificate on - and, by the way, it's one heck of an in-demand ship anyway) and book a guarantee level cabin - then, cross your fingers and toes and hope for an oversold situation where you can get all your money back + a credit for a free replacement cruise.  If it doesn't work out that way, oh well, it's a cheap game to play so long as you really don't mind taking the cruise to begin with.  It's the same game I played with the airlines - I could fly out at 8 am Friday morning and likely not be in an oversold situation, or fly out at 2 pm with everyone else and have probably a 50/50 chance of scoring a quick buck from taking a later flight.  Apples and oranges, of course, and the cruise version of this game is definitely not for most cruisers, but the opportunity is there nonetheless. 
One thing we can probably bet on is that, with RCI's mountain of debt, this oversold business is going to continue and we're going to need to adapt to the rules.  Hopefully, the opt-out for those not wishing to play the game is just to not book a guarantee-level cabin. It would be nice if C&A members above a certain level could know they are for sure not on the chopping block, but as far as I know no one has said that out loud and I wouldn't depend on it.  After all, Royal tells us that new cruisers tend to spend more on board than experienced cruisers... 

While I agree that the offers are generous; overbooking a cruise ship is just really unacceptable.  Any junior high computer geek could write a program that would disallow multiple parties booked in the same cabin, or booking numbers to exceed a pre set number.  Just really an embarrassing situation for the Royal IT department (again)

I was checking prices this afternoon and noticed The Key no longer has it's own menu and is now listed under VIP Passes?  Does this imply more pass types coming in the future?  Curious minds want to know!

Royal just issued a press release, in keeping with it's perpetual cost cutting and ancillary revenue generating efforts, new in 2023 waterfall view balcony cabins will be coming to Harmony ots, they will however be assessed an upcharge.  The down side is with once a day cabin cleaning you may be a little short of towels! 

I did the Royal Society of Puzzle on the Wonder TA. It's not a full escape room experience compared to other ships like Symphony, so it lacks the original decor and everything. But they have a game designed for the current state of the room that technically is an escape game. The room is prepared before you arrive, then you get instructions and have 50 minutes to solve it in a group of 6-12 people. You search for keys and clues and solve puzzles and riddles. So it may not look as cool as other Royal escape rooms but it's complimentary so there's that. We still had a lot of fun. Booking is via the daily planner in the app as soon as you're connected to the ship's wifi. If your group is smaller than the required minimum you'll be playing with strangers which adds to the fun.

No one knows because no one has escaped yet 😂

you still select a boarding time at check in but a couple weeks before the cruise you will get an email that tells you you can board with the Key at (usually 11:30 after suite guests) or keep your scheduled time. When you get to the port there will be plenty of signs and dedicated lines for the Key. Priority Embarkation is one of the best Key perks.

i was on Mariner in July and they were doing this in the Solarium until 10am. So basically people would sleep on the chairs from 630am until 10 then left for hours

“Team members monitor sun lounge usage and if they observe a seat that contains a towel or personal belongings but appears to be unoccupied, a notification is placed on the chair indicating the current time.”
The notification is usually a piece of tape of a small sticker which is used as a visual sign that the guest is absent.
The policy ends: “If the chair remains unoccupied for 40 minutes, the contents are removed and held for the guest’s safekeeping.”
Guests’ belongings will be removed from the lounger after 40 minutes have passed if the passenger doesn’t return.

I hate elevators with all of my being, I’m claustrophobic and when people pack in I get super anxious. I take stairs when I can going down but have a knee issue that isn’t visible so there are times I may take the elevator for a few floors. We have no idea what people are going through. If someone has asthma they may choose an elevator for a floor. 🤷🏻‍♀️
 
 

I have both asthma AND knee issues so I understand the concept of "you can't tell by looking" because I look like one of the healthiest people on the ship.
I rarely take the elevator (up or down) for less than three floors except on debarkation day with the luggage.

If you push the button every 3 seconds it will come faster.
Or maybe we need to bring back elevator operators. Anyone know what is an appropriate tip for an elevator operator? 🙂

The robes should be there based on the number of people on the reservation. If not you can ask your Stateroom Attendant.

You can buy the robes in the gift shop if you want them to keep.  Your suite robes are just for on ship use.

They took out the ability to upload your vaccination document into the app but they failed to remove all the reminders everywhere that tell you to do so. Just bring your proof with you to the port and you will be good to go.
