Lobbying singer Gary Williams the Rat Pack singer to appear on a small ship for a change.  With 3 days in the Canary Islands, he won't even have to fly or spend an extended time onboard to perform (He lives on Teneriefe).

10/15/21 - 7-day Spain & France on Sky Princess from Southampton (not optimistic about this happening) 1/23/22 - 7-day Southern Caribbean on Explorer of the Seas from San Juan 5/8/22 - 7-day Scandinavia & Russia on Voyager of the Seas from Copenhagen 10/7/22 - 10-day Italy, Turkey & Greece on Jewel of the Seas from Tarragona, Spain (ending in Athens)

I have 3 on Royal and a couple others on other lines. I am hopeful that they will all sail!

 

We've recently communicated off the message board.  No issues that I know of.

Nov 3 Oasis 4-nighter to Labadee followed by a MAYBE Nov 7 Freedom to Nassau/Coco Cay.. still not sure how the vacay time works out for the S2S

Aug 13 2022 Celestyal Experience to see a couple extra Greek islands that RC doesn't sail to. Although I am super excited for this one as it marks my first full suite on a cruise for my honeymoon! I have @WAAAYTOOO and @Lovetocruise2002 envy to thank on that one! I can't quite swing a full suite on Royal just yet but the new Experience (old Neo Romantica) has pretty affordable pricing and its certainly a perfect excuse. 
I am hoping to add a Nav out of LA when they open! That will be awesome to be able to drive to the port. 

You all should go down to your local archery shop and do some shooting.  I shoot in my backyard all the time and my daughter competed in school.  Its a great sport to get into!  

My very first cruise on Carnival Ecstasy in 1992 had skeet shooting on the back of the ship with shotguns

They offered it on Spectrum when we sailed her. There was at least one session each day. It was very popular in the Asian market!

SO!!!  I just called and guess what?  Archery is available on every ship!!!  The service rep told me that once you check in and can view all onboard activities this is offered.  She said it has been around for some time but just recently Royal began advertising it more!  It also shows up on the Cruise Compass.  She told me depending on the length of the cruise it may be offered only one day or more.  Guests just need to sign up ahead of time.
So we can all look into this once sailing starts...I for sure will be!!!!

I have seen video of the offering on Mariner of the Seas, but that is the only ship I have seen any info on it.  You shoot little arrows with suction cups on it at the targets.  The overall size is pretty small, so Im sure if lots of people used it, they could pretty simply expand to other ships.  

I've seen where it's offered, I've seen pics of it....I've never been able to find it.

Totally jealous.  I never got to this kind of stuff when I was a kid.
Is there an age limit?  Asking for a friend. 

Can't say I've ever heard anything about archery on board ship until this thread.

Actually, I think that's a pretty good idea.  Although, they have many things on the ship that guest could get hurt, a bow to the body is a little different.  I say wake-boarding off the back of the ship!  Ha Ha

Welcome to the message boards.
When someone in a cabin above you stands at their railing they can see you if you are also standing at your railing.  If you are standing at your cabin door or in the middle of your balcony they cannot see you you.
The same can be said of any aft balcony on Royal ships because the aft tends to slope downward at an angle.
Here is a picture taken from the outdoor seating in the Windjammer on Radiance.  The closest balconies below are the aft balconies starting on deck 10, then deck 9, then deck 8 and so on.  

 Note however there is no other ship superstructure blocking the view from these cabins.  They are arguably the best aft balcony cabins in the fleet.  I have several booked.
