I talked with the rewards department today and learned that if you had RCCL Visa rewards applied as OBC, they are holding those and you can move the OBC to your replacement cruise. Call the rewards department (888-305-4626) and provide both your cancelled reservation number and your new one, and they will make the transfer. They told me this also applies to NextCruise OBC if you had it on the cancelled sailing.

Its amazing how much the cruise industry is on blast. Time after time they are used as an example of COVID-19 disasters or activities that aren't recommended anyway. I get pretty irritated with the people that claim the ships as germ pools or "floating incubators of viruses, bacteria, or disease." It makes me wonder if these people writing these articles have been on a cruise before or if they did and it just wasn't their cup of tea for a vacation per say. I know we are supporters of the cruise industry on here so we may be a little bias on the other side but I feel the Royal ships are quite clean in comparison to normal hotel rooms I stay in, amusement parks I've visited, and quite honestly shopping centers I go to, so why aren't they being berrated like the cruise industry for their actual uncleanliness. And how about Airplanes, they continue to fly even with a lot of non-essential staff on board and wasn't it the other day that 100 flight attendants for American Airlines reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, why was that pushed to page 10 and ignored. Seems the cruise industry is taking the "big kid" role and just taking the punches instead of fighting back or squabbling since that's what it would be viewed as

Called today regarding my refund since I had to add a name to my December reservation anyway.
My cruise was for Enchantment on March 16th. I called and cancelled on the phone on March 12th, however it appears they did not cancel my cruise when I called as according to two customer service agents my cruise was not cancelled until March 14th, AKA the day that Royal voluntarily cancelled. The representative I spoke to today confirmed that it was canceled on March 14th, so I should be receiving my Cruise planner refunds today or tomorrow, but to give them until the end of the week to show in my account.
She also said that my refund for the taxes/fees will be in the account by the end of the week, again to call on Monday if the refund isn't there.
As far as FCC, the first round of cancellations should still have the FCC today at some point.
 
Sit tight everyone. Maybe we will all have our refunds and FCC's by the end of the week. The good news is the current hold time is only about 10 minutes if you need to call them.

For a class action lawsuit to exist there has to be a loss or harm. NOBODY has had a loss or harm by RCCI. You were made whole in a manner that was better than stipulated in your contract. RCCI is dealing with millions of cancellations that don't just involve cruisers. They are dealing with employee contracts, vendors and other third parties. They are taking hits to their liquidity with cancellations. I am truly amazed at Americans..and people in general,  behavior during this pandemic. From people still partying and having no regard for others safety. To people who feel entitled to special treatment. Nobody has any patience.
@Cruise Happy I only reply because I am shocked at how much blame is being placed by people who play the "greedy corporation game. With interest rates so low and the cost it takes to keep empty ships, RCCI is not making bank. YOU and only you decided to book a refundable/nonrefundable fare to cruise, knowing that if you cancel you would be penalized. RCCI did the best they could by allowing for no penalty changes and FCC, refunds if they cancelled. You are assuming a lot about me..... I have been on 1 RCCI cruise, I own no stock with them but I have been doing accounts receivable for various law firms and large corporations for over 17 years. I am a realist, corporations do what they do because we allow them to do it. You're complaining about greed but you also want your profit sharing and 401k to do good. There is bad PR but COVID-19 is to blame for that. RCCI did not break any laws because they did not put in writing any promises they have not kept.
Again nothing against you venting your frustration but RCCI is not wrong, greedy, amoral, deceptive etc. This is not everyday, this is not normally how things work. Over 1000 people died yesterday. Corporations are not moving swiftly, banks don't work as fast. Most of us have nothing but time.....

True, but 3 months sounds worse in a headline ... they always seem to feel the need for maximum sensationalism and go the extra mile (which sounds so much farther than 5280 feet!) ????

Fortunately, we have two more cruises booked.  One, for Christmas 2020 and the other, for Spring Break 2021.  Since we were able to get a full refund for our April 2020 cruise (sadly), I figured, what the heck?  I emailed my TA yesterday and upgraded our Junior Suite to a beautiful Owner's Suite on the Freedom of the Seas for our Christmas cruise.  YAY!  I will now start my Keto diet again, ramp up the exercises, and start getting bathing suit ready for December.  It will happen....it HAS to happen.  LOL!

We used the from a cancelled cruise to upgrade to an Owner's Suite for a future trip too, I'm so excited about this room! I can't wait to see how you enjoy it. 

Totally get it.  We book early.  It's good for price drop monitoring, but really it's the best for the anticipation and planning.  For our March cruise, we didn't have a special room like you, but we were able to get 2 connecting virtual interior rooms with our kids so perfect set up for us.  And it was our first time on Anthem.  All was perfect then bam...the virus went out of control and cruise cancelled.
Our next one is August..and we have an aft corner room.  Really cool!  But alas....I suspect we won't make that one.  (And $18 drink packages on both...bye bye).
Like you....we rebooked our cancelled Anthem to Christmas holidays....and also upgraded (2 connecting interiors to 2 connecting balcony rooms).  Hoping hoping hoping that one goes ahead.  Even rebooked our excursions and all.  (Did not rebook the drink package at the going rate...boo).  Also have Spring Break 2021 like you...
You have an amazing upgrade for your Christmas cruise....so exciting.  Fingers crossed that it's all a go!
 

Awesome story, I know its tough having cruises cancelled, our Oasis cruise in May was cancelled, something we have been looking forward to since last June. We just moved it to Sept. with our FCC. Gotta roll with the punches right. Your awesome cruises will go off with no problem. Have a great time and you have great rooms. 

Be sure and take the time to have room service from the MDR in your suite...especially breakfast.  You will have a nice dining table and chairs in your suite and also on your balcony.  You will be so spoiled !

The best room we have ever stayed in so far is a Grand Suite.  I am so very excited to see this room and to see the Freedom of the Seas.  We have never sailed on her before.  Only issue is we have 5 ports in 7 days so there won't be quite as much time on the ship since we love to explore the ports, but I will enjoy every minute either way.  I'm having cruise withdrawals like everyone else, I'm sure.  ?
