Only times I have ever felt crushed in were the muster drills, pirate night (on the Disney Wonder), and the champagne waterfall (on Princess ships....mostly busy due to free champagne to all).  Overall, I feel much more packed in when going to movies, shopping, on a plane, etc....

Developer tools shows lots of "unable to load" and most of it looks like front-end stuff (Javascript, jQuery, css, etc) ... probably took their website offline, my guess being 5PM EST it wasn't intentional, especially since we all know Royal loves to test their code in production :) LOL

If my late September cruise gets scrubbed, I will seriously not think of booking anything until after cruising has begun again.....ugh....

Hmmm, based not just on this articles but all the ones since posted....anybody else wonder if the CDC is going off of public opinion? Overwhelmingly the opinions are negative.
When you read the comments on planes, theme parks, and hotels the opinions are positive...despite a negative article. The fact that NCL said they have submitted actual protocols but were denied speaks volumes.

Yes, buy as soon as you are comfortable with the price point. Cancel and rebook as necessary. The only caveat: refunds are taking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer than the charge. For example I've now been charged twice for the same excursion, but have yet to receive the refund on the first booking. It's been over 45 days now. If you don't mind your money being tied up, go for it. I'm still waiting on over $3k in refunds.  I filed a dispute with RCCL Visa/BOFA last week.

I would personally wait on sending much money to any travel company until things calm down. I wish I could have told myself that advice (and made myself listen to it) during the last sale.  I think it is good to wait until sailing starts again.  RC always seems to have good sales every few months....

The funny thing is I am quite optimistic about Nov and Dec sailings. I always believed anything under six months would not be feasible. We have cruised in the muck of flu season, ships didn't shut down. Even with a second wave as long as protocols are followed ships should be fine. I think, given the current attitude, by Aug the CDC will no longer be able to keep the ships away, nor will most ports. Filming and sports are coming in July, the CDC won't/shouldn't be able to legally extend such a ban without just cause. You cannot complain about the economy, nor can you praise it......unless all forms of entertainment, travel, and businesses are afforded the same opportunities.

I think you will like it here.  There is wealth of knowledge and some very helpful people.

The CDC seems to be hanging out and leading by just waiting, which is not leading at all.  This is so annoying as they have a chokehold on cruising.  It would be nice if the CDC would publish more and give some more guidance.  As it is part of the executive branch, I hope that the cruises can use lobbyists to get some pressure placed on them for leadership.  I generally hate the idea of lobbyists, but it would probably be okay with me in this case....
