I fail to see where any of this is the fault of Royal Caribbean. 

At this point, the deck plans, reviews, video tours, and countless blog posts about Harmony have been available for years.  If an adult only pool is important to you, then you need to do a tiny amount of research before you spend your money!

We were just on Explorer a couple weeks ago.   The crew we asked said that it was going in for maintenance and refreshing not a complete re vAMPing. They said the carpeting and wall coverings and wall decorations will be changed. Chairs and tables in the MDR and bars/lounges will be replaced.  They are tearing out some of the shops on the promenade and replacing them with a Playmaker's Sports Bar.
We were on board during the world cup soccer and Michigan/Ohio State and other college and later pro games, space was definitely lacking to watch sports.
 

We experienced the same thing on Ovation, Freedom, and Explorer during 2022. Global supply issues hit us everywhere, even on vacation.

I’m wondering if it’s more that the itinerary isn’t appealing with the Navigator sailings they’re offering?  Short 3-4 night sailings may be popular out of Florida ports but maybe not LA?  I see Princess and Carnival and others doing slightly longer cruises out of LA that include Hawaii or other ports in Mexico/Central America, maybe Royal needs to consider (maybe they already are).  Also, maybe a brand new shiny Oasis class ship would attract more people to LA?

Day 3 and food coma is starting to set in. We had lunch at Giovanni's and dinner at Chops. Both were excellent,  but it is too much food. Unfortunately,  I was bad about taking food photos. Sorry.
 The shrimp cocktail at Chops is the way all shrimp cocktail should be made. The MDR cocktail is terrible. That, and the key lime pie make Chops a good choice. I had the New York Strip and it's was good but doesn't compare to a good land steakhouse.
We kept it simple for lunch and just had pasta and caprese salad app. The gnocchi was really good. My wife had the risotto and liked it.
 

Within the article it appears Icon would find Home At Terminal G or Shared births at MSC's new terminal to the East of Terminal A. I would wonder if this gets approved, Does royal then plan an upgrade to Port Everglades terminal??....

It calls for building a new Terminal G for Royal Caribbean Group's exclusive use and Berth 10, where the company would share the new terminal under construction by MSC Cruises.
The agreement also covers the continued development of Royal Caribbean's PortMiami headquarters, put on hold during the pandemic, and a lease extension there through at least 2072
New CTG able to handle Icon-class ships
Royal Caribbean's existing Terminal G has capacity for ships with about 4,000 passengers. The new CTG will be able to handle Icon-class ships — cruising's largest — with capacity for 7,000-plus passengers. It will be built to the county's sustainable buildings ordinance with solar panels and have a multi-level shared parking garage with ground-level intermodal facility, connecting roadways and a provisioning building.
It will occupy both the existing site and PortMiami’s 1963-era administrative building, to be demolished.

I think Royal will reinvent itself with China and Asia  . I think they already are with the Singapore to Tokyo itineraries out with Spectrum.
 
 

Oof. I can't even imagine them trying to do parking at T1 in Port Canaveral for 3 Oasis class ships. Indy and Wonder already already tapped out the garage!

I believe only Oasis and Quantum class ship built after a certain time or amped. I know Odyssey had the option, Harmony as well, my friend said Wonder too.
But yes, the current cards are pretty bad, my brother and BFF had to get their cards replaced twice on a 6N Odyssey sailing because they were peeling and falling apart.

Princess Medallion technology is game changer, however their app is garbage. 
I wish RC could achieve technology like that combined with current Royal Caribbean App. 

I would think if any oasis class goes to China it would be Wonder. That’s what she was built for. Also why I’ve got my second cruise on Wonder booked. Catch her while you can! 
The fewer number of suites also is a minus for US sailings. We obviously like our suites.

they are always at Sorrentos on Oasis class ships, as well as Freedom class.

Still just OASIS last I heard. Never saw officially Oasis Plus directly from RCCL

They installed her four LNG tanks this week.  

If Utopia is destined for the Asian market, there might not be as much pomp and circumstance in the US market about it.

First off welcome to 2023. Nobody needs to remove a hat for anybody else's needs, feeling, pleasure. Suck it up and deal.
Second. Many men have issues about lack of hair at a certain age. Ron Howard has a baseball cap on at Academy awards etc. Should they feel more insecure and uncomfortable to please you? No.
Third. Many have scares and marks etc from some very unpleasant treatments. (Not related to their hair) They keep hats on to make everyone more comfortable.
This Victorian age BS about how what others have on makes you feel and impacts your experience is complete selfish nonsense. 

As Matt said, I'm sure it's fine. Central Park and it's balconies are exposed to the elements all the time (including an occasional storm) so the water shouldn't damage anything. Maybe they had to do a mop up in the Park Cafe and some of the other shops. Central Park has drains throughout since it is exposed to the elements/rain, so it's unlikely there was any standing water for any period of time. If this was an interior space, then we could have problems!

Harmony is totally fine. No problem at all.

How in the heck can a ship this size turn fast enough to cause this? 💩 And as for a wave...you're talking about 200'+ off the water line on that deck! 😲 No way it was a wave and I find it hard to believe it could be from sharp turn.  I wonder if it were a water pump of some sort to pool and it wasn't realized and just overfilled and flooded?
