I always thought that Diamond status luggage got 4 free drinks and complimentary robes to use while being transferred from the port to your room! 😁

I've had to get a safe unlocked twice, once my wife typed in our wrong code on locking it and forgot what she typed in, the second time previous passenger left it locked. In both cases it required an officer to come down and unlocked. In the case of the previous passenger leaving it locked, it was the housekeeper waiting at our room saying she's waiting for the officer to come and unlock the safe, both cases the housekeeper had no ability to do it

RCL opening a private area might entice me to venture off the ship in Nassau. Until then, I’m a “hard no” on visiting Nassau and have been since before the COVID shutdown. There’s not much that will change my mind about enjoying a relaxing day onboard the ship. The new advisory just adds another reason to avoid that as a port of call. Y’all have fun and I see you when you get back. 

As a guy from Chicago and its terrible gun problem; I would welcome a walk in Nassau and the far lesser chance of getting killed….or worse.

It's much easier to hole punch cards for sub Oasis class ships since they use different technology in the cards.

Well, yeah, if you take away all the actual perks it’s just a room with chairs & tables.

Well it was actually one of the only good deals Royal had left. So naturally it had to go. It sets a bad precedent. Cant have any sort of value for money. It's against the new company policy.

There was a post on one of the cruise forums a while back that some people traveled to the USA from another country, bought a bunch of stuff like that, then took it on the cruise knowing it would get confiscated. But were fine with that since they bought the stuff solely to take back home anyway.

75°? Our house stays at 81°with a/c all summer. I would freeze at 75°!

This might be another case of the balcony door switch cutting out the AC…..

Royal has coyly hinted another Oasis Class order is possible, and I'd be shocked if there werent more Icon class ships ordered.  But I think Quantum Class is dunzo.

Quantum class doesn't do shows like other classes. The theater shows don't require a reservation. There is no comedy club so comedian will be in theater, so will the Effectors. So the Book is the only show with required reservations.

Aww... I a already bought the 3 day at much lower than it is now. So if I want to reserve the times I will pay a lot more. Sail away is in 31 days.

I just never understood why if you bought a dining package like we always get the 3 night dining package that you were at a disadvantage to booking restaurants. This is an awesome change that is way long overdue. It's always a pain to do it on the ship when you first board and if you forget then you might be locked out of times and dates. Can't wait till this is implemented to all ships. 

It will be nice for sure.  I don't worry about the 3 night people, but I do worry about the UDP group making a bunch of reservations, blocking out the restaurant and then changing their plans leaving empty seats in prime time slots.  I think this will have to come with some kind of cancellation threshold so we don't get what we see on the entertainment side.
Will absolutely make it better on boarding day for cruisers and crew.

The only down side I see is when the price drops on the UDP and you want to cancel and rebook for a savings. I’m thinking if you’ve already booked your reservations you are less likely to cancel and reprice UDP if price falls.

I am currently on Allure. Several crew members and the Crown Lounge concierge said they stopped doing 10:30 am check-in. It now starts at 11am to give the crew members enough time to turn the ship around. However some ships/ports may allow pax on if the ship is ready.

I believe there are avenues for government to ask for assistance because they see which assets are in the area.
In some cases, I believe the offer is made by the cruise line in case it's needed, as was the case with the Surfside condo collapse in 2021.

Looks like they are using Rhaspsody to evacuate US citizens from Haifa today....
