Not our experience.  Our MEI agent sent my brother the form to make a claim with the RC insurance but did none of the work to get it processed.  We were told they sell the policy but their involvement stops there.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I work at a Walgreens that provides PCR testing though labcorp and the rapid ID now NAAT test. There was a computer glitch a week or so a go when automated emails were not being sent correctly. Like the previous poster said, if you ever take a rapid test at a pharmacy and they tell you you should receive your results in 2 hours and you don't get them in the time frame, call them.  They can attempt to resend or they can be printed at any store and picked up. The ID now testing machine sends the emails automatically once it is completed. So as long as the sample is run though the machine there should be a result. The Labcop PCR tests all depended on the lab, which is usually in a different state (Virginia flies their tests to NC) . I would never recommend getting one, unless required. They take so long and the pharmacy has no say in when you get your results back, they are just a collection site.  The issues that we usually run into at our pharmacy are email addresses not entered in correctly or names or dates of birth are not correct and people signing up for PCR tests and they need their results in a time frame that may not occur.

Personally I’ve never had a problem with delayed results the dozen times I used CVS for myself/family.  However I did change to Emed proctored tests once I realized CVS was starting to restrict testing and I felt it might become an insurance issue.  (My paranoia)
any testing that says 24-48 hours is not a rapid test.  The rise in Covid cases often leads to a back up on test results. The proctored at home tests seem to be the way to go.

Don’t fear.  This was not an interrogation of a crew member.  I had met this crew member on previous  cruises and the person chose to share their concerns over this new requirement about renewing their contract  it came about because  I had inquired if they would be on this ship when I come back in 2 months.  It was a natural flow of conversation.   Good for you keeping things lite and not daring to venture into their personal lives if that’s how you choose to be.  I find there is a lot more to “the help” than their suggestions or likes/dislikes, they are actually people who enjoy engaging in conversation..

I haven't seen a report of what damage was found, but the cruise is "cancelled" though the ship won't get back home until what would have been the end of the cruise anyway.

Full refund + 100% FCC though.

Not exactly. Kids are allowed to keep their “inherited” status but only keep the number of cruise points that they have actually earned. So if they “inherited” Diamond status from their parents but only have 50 actual cruise points, once they turn 18 they will be Diamond members with 50 points and will not turn D+ until they have sailed enough times to achieve 175 points (or whatever it is for D+....I can’t remember) on their own.

We have a Holy Land/Greece on Odyssey coming up in October. I had read how slow tender service has been in Santorini so decided to see who was in port with us that day.

None other than our first Royal Caribbean ship, Song of America, that we sailed in 1991-ish.
She’s now Celestyal Olympia. Her Viking Crown however is still very prominent.
Excited to see where it all began for us 31 years ago ❤️

I’m on Oasis this week. I think there were 8 buses of 48 people who went on this excursion.
keep checking to see if it opens and worst case check at the shore excursuses on boarding day. (There are cancellations when people test positive for their pre cruise testing)
    my hints for this excursion:
be sure to have your photo ID for 18 and up. Also bring cash/card, bottle of water.  there is some walking in the sun/weather so do what you need in regards.
Onboard don’t rush to the theater to wait.  We were seated in the second row (being pretty early) to wait.  Then the late comers were seated in the back of the auditorium, sure enough they took the back rows out first so we were one of the last buses to leave the port. (Last to arrive at KSC)
try to sit at the front of the bus so you can be one of the first off
there is a pamphlet on the seat, download the app to check things out/read the pamphlet.
when you arrive to KSC go immediately to the bus tour that drives out to the furthest point and check that out, then tackle the locations at the initial drop off point ;main area) so you are close enough to catch the cruise bus back to the ship.
there was an astronaut doing photos, autographs of items (up to 3 per party) at the souvenir shop (I forget which one) it either started at 5 or ended by 5-sorry didn’t pay close attention.
.  Have a plan of attack so you maximize your time .  There was so much to see I would go back

I spoke with a staff member on Oasis, apparently booster shots are now required to renew contracts.  The member is not happy since wanting to start a family and the unknowns with long term effects.
when staffing numbers has been difficult to get back to normal, as well as other factors, it’s a-shame this is a mandate.

Pattycruise got a reaction from RCIfan1912 in Requesting outside parking lot at Port Liberty?
Currently there are multiple ships out of Bayonne, Celebrity, Adventure and Oasis.   I’ve sailed on Oasis and Adventure in May and June  the garage was available for handicapped only.  Those who arrived early to the port had to wait for the outdoor lots to be unlocked to be processed to park.  So in answer to your question,  if they are not expecting to use the overflow lot it will be locked and not available to use.  Based on my inability to park indoors for both the Adventure sailing and oasis it appears the Celebrity ship gets the garage

On our May 13th cruise on the Ovation, our first Genie, Rahul, "supposedly" injured himself on day 2, then we had Dexter, supposedly" he injured himself on day 4, then we had (I can't remember her name, I think it was something like, Agustina).  She took care of all the Star Class guests (that's 8 Star Class staterooms) by herself and it was her first cruise as a Genie. She did a great job.  It's funny, Rahul and Dexter weren't allowed to leave their quarters/cabin, you know, kinda like quarantine.  I guess stranger things have happen than 2 Genies injuring themselves within 2 days of each other.  But, COVID comes to my mind.
