  1. There is usually a loyalty desk on board that should be able to help.
  2. bid too low and or no rooms available to upgrade into.
  3. My 5 and 8 year olds had a blast on Ovation last summer. We all did bumper cars, ifly, indoor pool and kids "toilet bowl" outdoor pool and hot tubs, butterfly interactive art wall, ate at wonderland and both enjoyed adventure ocean. 8 year old did rock climbing, roller skating and sushi class. For excursions, we did mushers camp in Skagway, Sea plane/Taku lodge lunch in Juneau, private tour in sitka (fortress of the bear/rapture center), all were excellent for the whole family.
  4. general hours are listed in the app. at sea 9-12, 2-5, 7-10, 10- late night extra fee. port days times vary some, but they are pretty much open all day while docked, then close and reopen for evening hours 7-10
  5. I don't have direct knowledge, but I would say probably "No". They abide by staffing/ child care regulations, so I would think they would definitely not let a 2 year old into a room 3+. Regulations may allow a 5 year old into the nursery room, but to take a spot of a child that can only go into that room would not be fair when there are limited slots for nursery due to ratio limits, not to mention a 5 year old with infant/ 1 year olds would be bored or not have the space needed to move freely with smaller ones under foot. It may also depend on the ship and time of year. Could always ask, but expect a "no."
  6. My kids (4 and 7) enjoyed the 7 nights we spent on indy over spring break. They had previously sailed on Oasis and they didn't seem to miss any thing. My 7 year old love the pirate parade they did with adventure ocean on the 4 night cruise, she said that was her favorite part of the whole trip. Like someone else said, I feel splash away bay is better on Indy than oasis class ships .
  7. I was able to call today and they did the verification on the phone right then and completed the approval. They said they could expedite the card and should get it by Monday. Thanks for your help!
  8. Anyone with the royal credit card remember how long it took to get approved. I'm coming up on a week since I submitted my information and haven't heard anything. The website just says under review. I have a final payment coming up next week and I was hoping to use it.
  9. Spring break 2022, air2 sea flew us to the next port of call with a major airport because we missed the ship in Miami when all flights to southern Florida were canceled for 3 days. They paid for our hotel as well. Needless to say, we still didn't make it on the ship due to a mechanical issue causing our ship to to skip the port we were at. Again air2sea/ royal paid for our hotel and we got a cruise credit (a lot of work on our TA's part). Highly recommend air2sea. That being said, I would recommend traveling at least a day ahead. We now do two days or the earliest flight the day before.
  10. We stayed at the comfort inn in Condado and at the Sheraton (Conference center/casino). Neither are far from the cruise port, but not walkable. Easy to get a taxi at either place and the Sheraton had a shuttle. Not sure how close it would drop off to the port, but nice if you want to go to dinner or sight see while staying. Condado had a lot of restaurants to walk to and the beach was very close (very rough waves). Comfort inn was cheaper, it was clean and had breakfast included. The Sheraton was nicer and was more of a resort, with restaurants on site, large pool with pool bar/food, shuttle to various places, casino, and walking distance to Toroverde entertainment area (restaurants/music/arcade/theater), but more expensive. Both felt safe and both were nice in their own ways.
  11. We were on Oasis last summer and for ice skating they listed a time for sign ups, where you went and they were handing out tickets for particular time slots. One time we were able to get tickets the second time they ran out. I believe ice skating was offered 2-3 times on our 7 night cruise.
  12. Are there reserved times for suite guests for activities like ice skating/flowrider/laser tag? If so, is it lumped in with the key times?
  13. Not that I saw on Oasis in August . We didn't let our 4 and 7 yo keep their cards with them in AO.
  14. We sailed this summer with our 4 and 7 year old on Oasis. They both loved AO and asked to go back. They went most evenings after dinner and a couple times during the morning/ afternoon sessions. We did the early main dinning (5:30) and the dinning staff would bring food out for the kids first and we all enjoyed the main dinning room. They have not restarted the "my family dinning" where they would pick kids up from the dinning room. AO opened at 7pm for the evening session. Our 4 yo was all over the place with mini golf, but it was fun to try. Your kids are probably going to be too short for the flow rider, but they may enjoy watching for a bit. Your 6yo might be able to do the Rock wall, our 7 yo isn't that adventurous, so we didnt try it. Our kids enjoyed splash away bay and the arcade (but money goes fast). Our 4 yo took a nap one day and he doesn't nap at home, he was so worn out. Our kids are excited for our next cruise. You will have a great time!
  15. For those who have sailed on Ovation or similar ship. I'm trying to decide between balcony rooms on deck 13 (2 connecting and 1 -11 rooms down the hall) or 3 rooms right together on deck 7, which is partially obstructed (2 still connected). Would prefer to be right together to open up the balcony and so the kids won't be running down the hall to the grandparents room. So I guess my real question is how bad is "obstructed" on deck 7 of ovation. I've tried looking for pictures and it doesn't look as bad as deck 6.
