Take it from someone who is Serve Safe Certified in the hospitality industry...wash your hands with regular soap about a million times a day and you will virtually assure yourself of not getting sick while on vacation or back at home.

The last two times I was motivated to lose weight for a vacation was years ago, when we took the kids to Disney World. I wasn't going to pay all that money and not be able to comfortably fit on all the rides and in 2017 for our first RC cruise. Both times I dropped 50lbs in about 6mos.  You can do whatever you want when you are highly motivated! You can do it!

So I am currently booked for the March 8th sailing on the Oasis with my son who will be on Spring Break.  I am also booked for the March 22nd sailing with my wife and daughter because her break is during that time frame.  My goal is to sail on the March 15th cruise which would make it a B2B2B!   I have a couple feelers out to some friends who have shown some interest.  God I hope it Happens!   ?  Cross Your Fingers for Me!!!!

Long time lurker, first time poster here.  Took the family on Symphony last March and had an absolute blast.  Decided to do it again and booked Oasis earlier this year.  Got a great price, have a large balcony state room.  My parents are coming and have the room next door.  We plan on having the divider taken down for a nice large veranda.  Even my sister in law and a friend are coming (they are across the hall in an inside room).
 I have a few questions as we’re doing a few things differently this time.
1. We took advantage of the ultra, ridiculously cheap drink package mistake earlier this year.  The wife and I certainly don’t drink anywhere near enough for the full price package, but at $18 per day, I think we have it covered.  Here is the question:  I understand we will both be given free style cups as well for the soda machines.  As we really don’t drink soda, is it completely wrong just to give those to our kids (daughters aged 10 and 11)?   
2. We had fixed early dining last time, but were convinced to go with My Time Dining this time.  We also booked (as did everyone in our group) the 3 night dining package.  I understand that we will be given a first night (or choice) reservation, which we can change as soon as we board, as well as book the other two nights. The question is this:  We only have 1 reservation for the 2nd night (1st formal night) in the main dining room at 6:30.  Made that reservation a while ago, before the entertainment portal opened.  When I went back a few weeks ago to book other My Time Reservations, there was literally nothing available, any night, before 8pm.  My travel agent said not to worry, you should have no problem making reservations once you board.  True?  This is concerning me.  
3. On Symphony, we missed out on ice skating and laser tag as there were no times available by the time we tried to make a reservation (like 4th or 5th day on board).  How do I go about making those reservations as there is nothing in the Cruise Planner about those activities?
4. The itinerary includes Labadee, and I snagged an over the water cabana on Nellies Beach during the Black Friday sale.  How easy is it to do other activities once we get there, like zip lining, the coaster, etc.?  Probably would just do them once.  
I think thats it.  We fly to Miami next Saturday for a Sunday embarkation. This board has been truly invaluable and I thank you all for your assistance with these questions.  
 

You've got to read the rules. There are many restrictions associated with them, and when you can redeem it.
For anyone else reading this, I don't recommend RC gift cards or gift certificates. It's not like a traditional gift card you can simply cash in. The rules and redemption requirements make it a bad buy, in my opinion.

We lived outside of Atlanta for a couple of years. Only 2 years we have lived outside of the Chicago area. Spent the "winters" in sweatshirts while the locals wore parkas. We got 2 in of snow one year and my wife made the long and grueling, 3 mile drive to work to discover she was the only one in the HR dept. to show up for work. Everyone else called out because of the snow. 
The flipside to that was the 95 degree summers with 80% humidity!
As bad as it can get here in Chicago from time to time, I look at those people who live in Northern Canada or Alaska and think to myself, How do they do it? 

Oh the flashbacks!  I went to boarding school in Camden, S.C.  we had one dusting of snow and they shut the campus down and said we had to stay in our dorms!  I was a 14 y.o. from New York City and I was in shock.  How do you shut down a BOARDING SCHOOL?   We literally live here!  We couldn't sneak out to the other dorm to see friends....too funny now. 

I’ve been tempted to book Middle East the last few weeks because those prices are INCREDIBLE.

I have 3 days and 263 days showing on my countdown clock. 
Vacation starts at 5 pm today. My area of Coastal North Carolina RARELY has snow. Guess what? We're supposed to have a decent one starting later today and overnight. My flight is scheduled to leave Norfolk at 9:13 tonight. Will I kick off my vacation flying to Florida? Will I start it by staying at the LaQuinta in Norfolk near the airport? Who knows? Either way I'm on vacation. 

I have held that same sentiment in the past, but always wait until the final day in case an unexpected repricing opportunity arises.

I think I misread your OP.  I thought you were saying that Disney has a park in Cartagena.  I now realize that you are referring to the SHIP Disney Wonder.  My mistake.
Still very wild to think of crazed anteaters lurking about ( I always thought of them as pacifists).

....is this going to be a Live Blog.  I am NOT looking to set the new World Land Speed Record for starting the earliest Live Blog.  It will turn into a live blog MUCH later when we get closer to sail date.
I just wanted to announce to the world that the long anticipated 8 night Symphony itinerary for 21 - 29 August 2021 has finally shown up on the website !!!! 
I've been stalking this cruise for months.  They announced the itinerary - Labadee, Aruba and Curacao - months ago, but never opened it for booking until today.
I quickly snagged one of the Deck 8 Aqua Theater Suites because I could not afford (or didn't want) any of the other Star Class rooms that were left.  Believe it or not, some of the SC rooms were already gone by the time I got there !!  The aft-facing Star Loft was there but I don't really want that one.  I have NO interest in that awful Ultimate Family thing and the Royal Loft is WAAAY out of my price range on this cruise (and so was the Ultimate Family thing, to be fair).
So let the fun begin.  I BELIEVE that this will be the first Oasis class ship to go to Aruba and Curacao.  I could be wrong about that.  For sure it will be the first time Symphony has been there.  This will also be my first cruise on Symphony and I'm very excited. 3 ports in 8 days is my idea of heaven.
