On CruisingPower, the TA website, this sailing is currently listed as "Not Available"

BUT that doesn't mean that it won't sail.  In the recent past, this status has basically just meant that they aren't accepting any new bookings...in other words, the ship is probably booked at capacity.  All room categories are showing CLS (Closed) but again that is probably just an indication of a sold-out status.

This is just an example.  The rest of the room categories are showing the same status.
If it makes you feel any better, my 8-21-21 Symphony cruise (also 8 nights) looked exactly like this for a LONG time until they reactivated it and Royal announced that it was going to sail.  I think the fact that your cruise has been hibernating as a result of it being >7 nights is also another reason for its status.
So fingers are crossed for you.  I know you will feel better once they announce a test cruise for Anthem.

My stuff isn't too complicated or lucrative for a TA.  Also, I wouldn't want to create any additional burden for a TA.  Maybe I shouldn't think of it that way. However, I have experienced enough hassle to know there is no way I would ever want to be a TA.  I can't imagine what hassles a TA must be experiencing dealing with Royal and their clients.  I know that I couldn't handle being caught in the middle like that.
TAs must be earning every cent they make so I will praise them for all they do.

This whole situation is getting weird fast. Now there's concern that bahamas won't waive its 14 day close contact quarantine rule for a commercial flight and they're looking into private flights for all quarantined kids.

remember NO vax co. has ever claimed 100% efficacy.  So the 3-5% who are vaccinated WILL get get it . But you won't (99.5%) end up in serious shape or dead.
Yes the un-vaxxed have and will place a huge financial  burden  on the rest society and business for many years to come. Sad to say but the most efficient way to get the vax rates up to that 85+% mark is for a dramatic increase in deaths  - and quick deaths at that . And major names in that anti science echo chamber. No 2 -3 weeks on a vent, cough on monday , dead on friday. You can't spin conspiracy theories when the refrigerated  reefer trucks have to come back to the hospitals because the morgues are full.
    Come on karma !

Not sure its all being driven by unvax,  a couple of breakthroughs have occurred (included on the Millennium in Alaska), with positive test on a vaccinated individual.  I don't know why this happens? Does  the nature of some tests reveal exposure vs infection?  Maybe.
Some cruise lines are going to do everything possible to demonstrate risk mitigation to an industry unfriendly regulatory domain.  At this point, It's about keeping the ships sailing with passenger and not getting shut down again.

I’m vaccinated and have had Covid ……. And it’s ridiculous the way the vaccinated are now being punished and forced to do things they shouldn’t have to after being vaccinated just for the “sake of the unvaccinated “
And I’m normally against most vaccines and swore I’d never get this vaccine …….. I got it to travel and now it’s seems you’re going to be punished along with the rest even though you got the vaccine.

And just like I was saying the other day. This, this right here is why cruises are coming to and an end for me. This is my absolute nightmare scenario. I can't fly, serious phobia. I don't know what I would do in this situation. I can't have this kinda thing hanging over my head every time I cruise.
I just would like to say the media sucks. They love this bullshit. They don't report every successful cruise but this one is top news.

Well seeing how this is the first sailing listed after it's back in the states from a transatlantic sailing I don't think Anthem will be getting one, at least not from the USA... unless this gets canceled and this time period is used for a test cruise.

I think this is a great idea since it seems that the vaccinated are turning positive just as often as the unvaxxed (on cruises).  I also believe that everyone will eventually be required to provide insurance protection.  Royal cannot continue to fly everyone who tests positive home in a private jet !

As @AshleyDillosaid above, SC does include the Chef's Table but at our last CT, they did charge $25 PP for the wine.  I assume it will be the same after the restart.
As a SC passenger, ANYthing (to eat) on the ship is included with the exception of the pastries at Starbuck's and the candy-by-the-pound at the candy store (but the ice cream at the candy store IS included).  The coffee at SB is included but not the pastries (go figure...).  All of the upcharge items at Chops are included, there is no upcharge for Izumi Hibachi, regardless of how much food you order (and you are allowed to order sushi from the sushi side if you want it).  Eat as much as you want of whatever you want at Johnny Rocket's, drink as many malts or milk shakes as you want, eat all the ice cream you want, all of the popcorn at the theater and Aqua Theater is included.  Food at the Pub, Playmaker's and all specialty restaurants is all included.  You are actually hard pressed to find food that is NOT included in SC which is what makes it SOOOO incredible.

That's over months and years not 7 days or with just 3000 people. I expect Tough Love is only way past this. The worst case scenario is going to be the hard anti-vax population AND the rest of the world where they just can't get enough vax supplies will be the breeding ground for a variant that even more transmissible than Delta and we will be back to needing a whole new vaccine NOT JUST A BOOSTER shot. NO SHOT ?... no cruise, no work, no air travel, no concerts..... It's coming.

I was excited to share. I had my first UDP experience on Oasis and live blogged it here so that's why I was able to detail as much as I did for you there ?
You should plan to make reservations for CP150, Chops, Giovannis and Izumi (sushi and hibachi) for dinner.  They don't usually have space for walk-ups.
On Oasis I was able to make reservations once on the ship using the app.  I was sitting in CP150 at dinner at 7pm and was playing with the app and could have made another reservation then and there for another restaurant.
When I did my Izumi sushi and Chops to-go meals I did make a reservation so they expected me.  Izumi had no issues with doing my order to-go, but Chops tried to strong arm me into sitting and dining.  I just wanted a filet to go so I could enjoy it later, and for research purposes as to how difficult it would be, of course.
Playmakers and Portside you can walk up whenever they are open and you have a per visit, per person allowance of $20.  $20 gets you a LOT of food for one person at either of those.  Izumi sushi has a $35 limit.
If you look at an old Cruise Compass you can get an idea of the open times for restaurants on port vs. sea days.  It does vary and you can dine whenever one is open!  I didn't do Chops for lunch because it just seems heavy to me.  I think we did Giovannis for lunch maybe and I missed that in my outline there.
Don't sleep on Johnny Rockets or the Solarium for breakfast either.  Both are included for everyone, package or not.
Oasis ships have so many dining options and the UDP really opens the ship up to you and feels more like an all-inclusive experience when you have it.

I agree with Matt. Royal is going to keep everything the way it is. They have already stated the reason for test cruising, so that they can have families on board. Sure it would have been very easy to go the vaccination 95% route, but that would have not allowed many families the ability to cruise.

IMHO a cruise is 100% safer than an land all-inclusive. To stay in a hotel you don't have to say anything regarding your current health. My first time at a resort this guy was staying there with a rash, he thought it was bug bites, and it turned out to be a mild form of flesh-eating bacteria. To say that put me off resorts is an understatement. Like some people on this site, I carry medical grade sanitation wipes and always wipe my hotel room down. The only time my wipes ever came up clean-ish was on my RCG cruise. Most of the time I am thoroughly cleaning the room. There is literally no way to tell what March will be like. In my opinion, people need to do exactly what they can handle now and not place too heavy a burden on the future. I would hope that by March we will be settling into something more steady and reliable. But many people thought things would be over in 3 month, 6 or a year.

I was invited to the Indy simulation cruise next week but I'd have to fly and stay in a hotel the night before.
The ship will be fully vaccinated for guests and crew.  The ship will operate with full and proven effective protocols.
The airport, airplane and hotel will be... who knows?  Could be mostly vaccinated, could be mostly unvaccinated.  Could be an airport worker doesn't want to lose their job and has bills to pay so they go to work with mild symptoms.   No one is going to check or know any better.  Protocols will consist of a $0.35 mask.
The risks involved with this trip were heavily slanted to the parts of the trip that weren't on the ship.  The ship would be the safe part.
I declined the Indy invitation but if I get an invite to another Florida based simulation cruise I'm going.

I haven’t done either cruising or staying in a resort since the pandemic started but I’ve done extensive research deciding on which direction to go for our next vacation.
I think the scales are slightly tipped to the cruise ship side as far as the safer route. For resorts, I saw mostly procedural improvements (e.g. intense cleaning and encouraging social distancing). For cruise ships (specifically RCCL), I noticed procedural AND facilities improvement with revamping medical facilities and hvac air circulation.
I would feel a lot safer on a cruise ship than in a grocery store, retail store, or even my own workplace.
Ultimately, cruise ships and resorts have the same 2 primary goals:
    *to make money
*to keep everyone safe (which is basically synonymous with avoiding bad publicity)
and they’re going to do whatever it takes to accomplish this.
