Just got off Independence yesterday. I had a prepaid digital MasterCard worth $100 that was in my Apple Wallet so I thought I would give it a try and see if I could use it to pay off a portion of my onboard account. Short answer is yes and the remaining balance was charged to the credit card on file when I checked-in. The only thing was that they needed to enter the card information manually as their system was not able to accept Apple Pay.

I was going to try the bar code trick for our January cruise but first added the Set Sail pass into my Apple Wallet. When you do that, the numbers appear at the bottom of the pass without doing any scanning.

Our family is in the same position as you, husband, wife and 3 boys. What I did is what FionaMG mentioned in her post, that is I purchased a 4 device plan plus a single plan as this was the cheapest way for us to do it at the time.

They actually do. I made it to D+ on comped cruises.

I don't mind an increase in gratuities, but what I do mind is that they are increasing and taking away services. Staterooms are cleaned once per day now and they want me to tip more. 
I know that is a FWP for me the consumer to want fresh towels 2x per day but it is cruise standard, so I would like it done if I am paying more.
I generally leave more money in the stateroom after the cruise anyway, but this kind of irritates me. 

Got mine 7 days after our Aug. 20-28 Odyssey cruise. Funny thing is that for 2 of my sons, even before this past cruise, the points total on the app were wrong. When we went to the Loyalty Ambassador onboard she said that within the system it was showing the correct amount of points but the app wasn't updating for some reason. I checked with my sons once I got my Odyssey points and their apps were still showing the wrong amount from before the cruise. I've had them logout and log back in but that didn't do the trick.

Maybe you should consider buying one DBP and a refreshment package. You cannot do this online but will have to call in to get it done. My wife and I did this last January, which came in handy, which was our first cruise as Diamond and we had a few sea days. She had the package and i got use of 8 vouchers. Things are different for us now as we're each Prime members as well and can get drinks in the casino complimentary.

No, your son will not need any kind of package....the "rule" only applies to the adults in the room.

Yes but you need to call and request this but you will need to buy one refreshment package as well. We did this on Harmony earlier this year. 

When you go to the top tier event, they show it on a screen. I even took a picture of it because i couldn't believe how few top tier passengers were on the cruise.

On our August 20th sailing on Odyssey, there were 8 pinnacle, 56 diamond+ and 188 diamond for a total of 252 out of approximately 4,950 passengers according to the stats they posted at the top tier event. Really small percentage of total.

We've been on Odyssey twice and absolutely love the ship. There's plenty to do on the ship and the highlights, as mentioned, are Music Hall and 270.

I agree, 270 is one of the coolest spaces at sea of any ship in my opinion. We would have breakfast in there sometime on Anthem. Such a cool place even when nothing is going on. 

Best music hall in the fleet by a mile! Cafe 270 is better than park cafe and the seaplex with playmakers is a game changer.

The Seaplex was my favourite part of Odyssey. From indoor pickleball to bumper cars is about as good as it gets.

DEFINITELY make time to spend in 270!! even when nothing is slated to happen there, it was our favorite indoor area of the ship.
