Hey Everyone!! My husband surprised me with a 40th birthday cruise November 30th on Independence! 

This is what we did too!

We were at Labadee in December for the first time, and rented a Beach Bungalow. It was the best, most relaxing day we've had. I hope to get back to Labadee to do it again!!

Bucket list destinations come with bigger price tags.  I'd rather experience two special bucket list destinations rather than just one in my lifetime (or every 5 years).
Balconies are great, make no mistake, but once you step into the hall your cabin type is irrelevant.  Once you are off the ship even more so.  To experience a destination you take an excursion or tour.  By saving money on cabin type I can take over the top excursions and really experience a destination.
Suites are really great too.  Cruise once every 5 years in a suite, once every two years in a balcony or twice a year in interior?   
My fondest cruise memories don't generally involve my cabin.  

Go into cruise planner, go into order history, click cancel, go back to drink page, add to cart, purchase.
 
Be aware that cancelling requires a refund to be process which takes a couple days but purchasing it again puts it right on your card.

Yes, the Oasis Lagoon pool is indeed heated......by the sun!

I love Painkillers! It's like a piña colada on the rocks with nutmeg. But usually I order vodka + water + a splash of fruit juice (pineapple, guava, etc) because the water helps prevent hangovers from all that sugar.  

For being so helpful and nonjudgmental even when asking a lot of questions!

Forgetting to put my cell phone in airplane mode.  Was able to negotiate down the outstanding balance.  It was a huge lesson.

Renting a Jeep for a self excursion in Cozumel. Finding a nice secludes spot for some snorkeling only to come back to find all our stuff including jeep stolen. Boy was that stupid, but we were young, in love, and CLUELESS, LOLing at myself.

We struggle with it. We have enough vacation time to do it (I get 3 weeks, and my husband gets 5), however being in central Canada, flights kill us. I think that we've resigned ourselves to one every two years until we have more time to B2B.  We have a vacation account that we funnel money into every paycheque, and in the summer we camp as a vacation, so we can use our money to cruise when we can.

Can I rent a kid from Adventure Ocean for 30 minutes on day one?  

If booking cruise through UK site either use Top cash back to get £££ paid back into your bank account or tell TA the amount you can get back in cash so they lower their price by the amount you would receive

I piggyback off my wife who is a kick butt attorney. She files suit against the cruise lines, they pay her and then we book a nice cruise!
