Given the current state of affairs, I think all logic is out the window. Typically, it's always better to book in advance, not only for price, but for better choice of cabins.

There are several garages across the street from the port. I think we parked at Galveston Park & Cruise and made reservations online. You can also get info at www.Galveston.com

RCCL Credit Card - OBC Credit Redemptions
Okgladgal replied to KJ1231's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I was told by an RC rep the credit would not be applied to my planner until 2 weeks before sail date. I had to call the Visa rewards number and ask them to apply it asap. -
I just saw a recipe on how to make your own hand sanitizer: 2/3 c. 91% alcohol, 1/3 c. aloe vera gel. Stir vigorously until mixed. Pour into a bottle and seal tightly. I have no idea if this will work.

Catching the sunrise or sunset. Amazes me every time.

It's not about another person's choices, it's about keeping people from sharing one package.

Free trip from playing a Facebook game MyVegas
Okgladgal replied to Jeepgeek's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
They don't give very clear instructions, but the OBC has to be applied within 30 days of booking your cruise. I did it really not expecting it to work, but it did. They'll send an email with more instructions after you purchase it. -
Purchasing Bottle of Wine - Beverage Package
Okgladgal replied to krislu's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Nope. You can only bring Wine onboard at Embarkation. You can buy it in a port, but they'll store it for you until the end of the cruise. -
@SteveinSC thanks for starting this thread! We usually cruise with extended family and/or friends that we don't live near. Perfect chance to catch up, relax and laugh for a week. We've never been to the Mediterranean, so I'd choose that area.

OMG! I'm laughing too hard to quote everyone!

@Ohio_Momof3 Welcome! We had a similar situation when our kids were 18 & 15 and had 2 Pullman beds. The 15 yo stayed up top while the 18 yo stayed on bottom. There was plenty of room during the day. We didn't have a pack & play so I can't comment how much room that will take up. Try to keep everyone organized and clutter to a minimum. Have a great cruise!

We've done that itinerary with our teenagers. I was exhausted but that cruise was fabulous!

Alaskan or Northeast Foliage Cruise- which is better?
Okgladgal replied to RCIDreamer96's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Cruise to Alaska and drive to New England. We've done several foliage trips to New England and enjoyed driving our rental car on the backroads, barely making it to the next destination in the daylight. -
That is great news @DDemuth! Have a great cruise with your family.

Travel first aid kit! I'll be right back!

15 min walk if you walk slowly.

I totally agree! We prepay our tips and add some to our room steward if he does a great job. That's what a tip is for...service. That rumor has been going around forever.

Freedom Of the Seas - Embarkation pier
Okgladgal replied to Jeff Poulson's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yes, Freedom still departs from Pan American Pier. -
We went to Isla De Pasion aka Passion Island in Cozumel. The beach was beautiful!

Anthem & Potential Coronavirus
Okgladgal replied to coneyraven's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
So sorry for all the delays. Have a great trip. -
I agree! Between getting to the airport 2 hours early, parking, security etc, the time is pretty close to the same.
-
Perfect reasons to choose this cruise.

Anyone ever started a cruise from an RV?
Okgladgal replied to AJK's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Perhaps rent an RV space in a park for the week? I'm not sure if they can be left unattended that long, but at least it would (hopefully) be safe. You could also check each individual's port parking lot. We are interested in this also. -
Welcome @Planaholic You are in great company here.
