Funny story ... On a recent cruise we met a gay couple where one of the guys ordered a birthday cake for his partner, whose name was Rico if I recall. The cake was to be delivered on his actual BDay, which was day one. He had such drama getting that cake delivered and on day 3 it was finally delivered and read "Happy Birthday Marianne!". So, Rico was only known as Marianne from that point forward! 🤣

We got the email yesterday, just outright cancelled our excursion.  I would take a train that remained in the US. Thanks Trudeau

If there are two of you, I'd order the 4 pack, just in case something went wrong.  I ordered the 2 pack from Royal's site.  I have 4 more from the Government that are rapid ihealth and can be done via proctor.  I've got toooooooo much invested in this cruise to take chances with anything.

Noooooo. I've already bought our flights from Vancouver for our July Radiance Southbound.

An expensive option is to book a room on each side of the ship and then spend time in each port in the room facing land.
Just a thought.

You can ask them for cash to play the slots. They charge 5% at the cashier window. Or you can see if the slot machine will allow you to charge to your onboard account to add play. Then you get a redemption ticket and go to the machine that converts those to cash (if there is one) or you take it to the cashier window.  
Or you get the chips and bet it all on black ??

^this right here!! Couldn't agree more. Having done it once, we now book the same massage at the same time but singly. Not sure why, but I think we appreciated just the individual time we enjoyed with our specific masseuses. 

I just got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Friday.. My arm is sore but other than that I'm fine.. Normally I'm ant-vax (wont ever get a flu shot) but if it gets us back on a ship mask free then I've done my part.. 

My wife and I both work in jobs dealing with the public and have both had the vaccine.  Half of my staff was out at one time with the virus or due to exposure and I also have my own issues so it was a no brainer. But since I am "immune" since that is what an immunization is supposed to do I will not be wearing a mask. I will continue to practice proper hygiene just like we did on pre rona cruises and we will be fine.

But since I am "immune" since that is what an immunization is supposed to do I will not be wearing a mask. I will continue to practice proper hygiene just like we did on pre rona cruises and we will be fine.

The CDC is an interesting agency.   It is an example of government doing what it does best.  Nothing.
When a cruise ship had an outbreak off the California coast the CDC did nothing.  They didn't step in to help, they kept the ship offshore doing circles in the ocean.  This pretty closely followed the mistakes made by public health officials in Japan that kept guests on the ship which exacerbated the outbreak.  To cover up it's failures and the failures of Japan's version of the CDC, the CDC... blamed the cruise lines.
At the same time the virus was running wild through nursing homes killing at an alarming rate and the CDC did nothing but watch.  
When the CDC wanted to extend the cruise ship ban they did just that only changing the name of the orders they used to do so.  In the process they consumed pages of the order to... blame the cruise lines.
Now the CDC continues to keep the industry shutdown through its continued inaction and really the only thing the agency is good at which is... doing nothing.
It seems to me the occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave really has little bearing on the outcome.   
The CDC has one continued goal that hasn't wavered and that is... to do nothing but blame the cruise lines for the CDC's failures.  Despite hundreds of experts and scientists the CDC has allowed the virus to run rampant throughout our communities while they do nothing meaningful to stop it. 
Even today the biggest action the CDC has taken to safeguard America is to ban cruise ships.  Around 15% of Americans have taken a cruise so it's no wonder this great plan from the CDC to save America hasn't stopped the virus from spreading in America.
Blame the current administration or blame the previous administration to suit your political alliance but the real villain here is the CDC.
