When we were on the Anthem a couple/few years ago Cape Liberty/Bermuda/Boston cruise, there was a tribute band, U2, that was absolutely fantastic (perfect/exactly? No, but very good/close). They performed several times in the Music Hall and their big finale was in the 270 which made it even better with all the visuals, better sound, and atmosphere. I really wasn't much of a U2 fan until that cruise. Now, I can't get enough of them. Almost up there with Led Zeppelin, almost.
When we got back I asked @Matt, on his live Youtube Q&A, if tribute bands are standard fare on Royal cruises. He said that they were, almost exclusively, on Quantum Class ships. 1. I hope the pandemic didn't ruin that. On our May cruise to Alaska on the Ovation, no tribute band. Not sure if it was because of the Pandemic or just not on an Alaska cruise or other reason. 2. I think it would be great to expand the tribute bands to other classes of ships. Especially if they are the quality of the band like that U2 tribute band.
I know right now (sailing from the UK) on Anthem, there is a Beatles tribute band, and others like The Dukes (doing Dua Lipa), and Real Vybez (doing Bob Marley) for certain sets.

Unfortunately I had Royal refund a FCC (they did this without me asking for a refund) of over $2000 (yes thousand) to the wrong person's card, several emails, phone calls, and chat session ensued to no reasonable solution other than having to pay the balance of our cruise again.

Do they sell tobacco if so what kind ,Golden Virginia?
It depends on where the ship is sailing from. Roll your own tobacco is not as popular in the US and Golden Virginia is not readily available there. I'm unsure if UK or EU sailings have loose leaf tobacco, or what brands if they do.

Isn’t gratuity included. So everybody tips right?
Some people opt not to have gratuities included, or remove them from their account, so they can tip at their discretion. I think some of these don't tip at all, but have no proof of this.

Quantum in May wouldn't let me re-use a wow band. They stated the program has been discontinued.
My Anthem WoW Band has my previous Muster station printed on it, they wouldn't let me re-use it on Anthem the next cruise, for this reason. Or just because

Luggage tag question. Do you put the luggage tag on the top (rolling case extending handle) or the side of your case?
We are lanyard and tag holder people. Possibly door decorating people next cruise:)

I keep thanking my wife daily for wanting to take a cruise from Southampton instead of having to fly anywhere for vacation this year. Some Airports/Airlines here are allowing people to drop their luggage the night before due to the 3+ hour waits to go through security.

Sounds about right to me. I'm in the UK and my order history shows I purchased the 3 night dining package at today's rate, when I have a receipt showing the price I actually paid was at the rate on the day of purchase. They only lock the rate when it comes to on board credit, which is when you first use it.

You sent a PM and it took a week? I can see getting general answers depending on your questions, but I've found they respond immediately or in a short period of time and get the same answers or better than waiting on hold.
It depends on what you ask them, or the subject to be specific. They dont like to respond to questions which put their business image under inspection. For example when they made an accounting mistake with my booking they wouldn't respond, when I asked about the conflicting info for sailing from Southampton they wouldn't respond. When asked about straight forward question about menus, ships, Venus on board they were quick to answer. YMMV

Mail me your drink vouchers please, that’ll be useful to me.
Seriously! I'm wondering if they are even on the correct cruise line?

My family is going on Independence of the Sea in 45 days. We started our check in last night but could not get a boarding time. Everything we good except boarding time. I called Royal this morning and they have no idea what is going on either. Anyone else having this problem?
Loads of people having this problem, No solution. Just keep checking back everyday until you can.

The APP has dining times wrong sometimes compared to their actual opening times.

So it’s a long story but I had to book my cruise with a US travel agent. Not my choice since I’m in Canada. It was a travel voucher with my company who is US based. And they are dealing with a travel agency out of California.
I assumed I was looking at Canadian prices in the cruise planner. I purchased the deluxe beverage package today and quickly realized it was US prices. There was about a $500 difference with the currency.
I cancelled it and after a few calls Royal Caribbean told me if a US travel agent booked the cruise then my currency is US.
I need a lot of help on this issue and unfortunately my agent isn’t great.
would someone be willing to post screen shots of the deluxe bev package for two here for me?
I would like to compare the prices since I have no idea what the Canadian price should be.
also Royal told me the only way to get it changed to Canadian currency is to cancel and rebook. And there would be a fee involved AND they wouldn’t be able to honor the price I got.
i would like to transfer to a Canadian agent but again I’m told there’s fees involved.
this was suppose to be a trip that was covered mainly by this voucher but it’s giving me major headaches.
When I booked a US sailing from the UK with Royal Caribbean in the UK My Cruise planner was in US Dollars. When I booked a UK sailing from the UK it was in pounds.

I have yet to try these. I asked on Anthem last year from the UK, but they had no clue what I was asking for, LoL.

No, they will not do doubles or shots on the side officially, however if you tip enough....YMMV.
