steverk got a reaction from Neesa in New diamond member question about drink vouchers
I spoke to someone that did this on every cruise. I'm not sure what the rules are, but she said she would ask the attendant what he/she would like and then she would leave it in a specified location in the stateroom. She tells me it always disappears.

As mentioned earlier, 4 per day. Use or lose.
But you can go to a bar at the end of each day and get bottles or cans of your favorite beverage and bring them to your room.

I agree it doesn't make much sense. Buy gasoline and the posted price includes tax. Buy a roast beef sandwich and you pay tax.

I like 4016 for its location on the ship rather than the view.
It's quiet yet close to forward elevators. The midship elevators and dining room are on the same side so it's convenient for that as well.

I hope they don't make it into a revenue model. I like it just the way it is

I don't understand why the sales tax isn't included on the price ticket up front. I remember buying something once in Fort Lauderdale and looking out what I thought was the correct amount only to have them ring it up at a higher price because of that pesky tax. 😕

I was in Texas for thanksgiving and the subject come up .
You Australians don’t tip ,such cheap Charlie’s. And I went through it and why .
At the end of the day they were shaking their heads and saying ,how did we get this system.
They said it’s out of control even the self serve check out wants a donation.

Keep in mind that diamond, diamond plus and Pinnacle all status match as elite. Therefore, if you are diamond and want to sail celebrity, you might as well just do that. There isn't any advantage in waiting for diamond plus.

Just a guess, but I doubt the controversy had much to do with it. Ben & Jerry's has repeatedly waded in to controversial issues. It never caused Royal to act before.

Put me in Radiance camp. You'll see more of alaska that way.
You also begin or end in Seward. Wonderful place! Very easy to navigate without a car. It has a national park and the railroad.

I always have a generic answer to Alaska questions... do whatever will allow you to spend as much time on land (preferably an actual land portion) or at least as many big excursions as you can. I sail for the ships in the Caribbean all the time and don't even like small ships, but in Alaska, I couldn't care less about the ship, I'm there to see Alaska.

I like Voyager too. In fact, I'm sailing on her this afternoon.

Please do not allow your phone to automatically adjust time zones! Set it manually instead.
That should be enough to keep you on ship time, but I always wear a cheap Timex watch too. You can't be too careful and you don't want to be left behind.

There's a coupon loaded on your account. When you log in and try to purchase 1 day internet, it automatically applies and makes your cost $0. Whether or not you choose to use it is entirely up to you

steverk reacted to DoomSlayer in Booking excursions in advance
My experience has been that not all excursions are listed that far in advance, and some can even be changed or canceled. If you see something that interests you, go ahead and book it, but check back regularly as you get closer to the sail date to make sure the price has not dropped or something else became available that you would rather do more. You can always cancel your excursions and either reprice it or switch to something else up to 2 days before your excursion date.
