Not if you scare the unvaccinated away.
Hourly temperature checks, 2 masks at all times, etc. but only if unvaccinated.

That letter reads like it was written by someone unaware that there are now several very effective and widely available vaccines for COVID-19.  We're in a totally different place today than when the CSO was issued.
If the lines sail with fully vaccinated crews and pax, plus the mitigation measures in place, the chance of a COVID outbreak is virtually nil.

What is really concerning is that it says that they want to shut the ships down if an outbreak occurs onboard. If a outbreak of norovirus occurs the ships currently decide to end the voyage based on the number of cases. So going forward if one or two people test positive for COVID on a ship of 3500 people, are they going to end the cruise? This is where I think it will be necessary for the cruise lines to mandate the vaccine for the first year or two in order to make it feasible to sail again. I know that is controversial for me to say but I don’t think it works any other way. Adults will have to be vaccinated and kids under 16 will require a negative test for awhile.

Can you honestly say, without fault, that the vaccinations that are being distributed, IF you took/received it, can AND will protect you from EVERY variant of COVID?? We all know that the vaccinations that are approved and are being distributed do not guarantee protection from EVERY variant of COVID. That's why we are still fighting this horrid pandemic and cruise ships cannot sail without guidance and protocols. There are currently are NO "100% vaccinated zone" in existence as if there were, cruises would have been sailing from U.S. ports already.

Your choice ? just as its cruiselines choice to implement these measures ? it really is that simple! And right now no amount of debating will change it, it is how it is just got to either get on with it or stay at home

I always take my passport with me when I get off the ship in any port.  And I recommend everyone do the same.

If you are in a port off the ship the passport doesn't do any good locked in the safe in your cabin.  Take your passport with you when go on an excursion or even just shopping.  Too many things can happen that keep you from going back to the ship to get it.  You have spent the extra money for the security of a passport so keep it with you.

We stayed in rm 1756 which is next to one of the large suites up front.  Reasons unknown to me there was another door we had to go through to get our room (along with the large suite)
Halfway through the cruise I realized that door was closed but never locked. So theoretically I would have had to swipe three doors to get in my cabin.   ?????????

Well if people do not want to be apart of a responsible society they can sit home without their masks. If they don't want the vaccine they can sit home and not cruise or vacation. That's the simply answer to those people.

I have often had the same questions about groups sharing the 2 BR ATS.  Who gets the tiny inside BR and who gets the nice Duxiana master ?  I have never had to worry about this as we've never entertained having anyone else share the suite but I don't know how happy I would be if I paid 1/2 of the cruise fare and got stuck in that tiny second BR...or worse, have to sleep out in the LR on a pull-out.
With regard to the OP's question, I agree with you and @twangster.  If it is family members sharing, the GLS would be ok but with 2 couples, I would definitely choose the 2 GS with separate proper sleeping areas.

I would (and am !) sail on Allure as-is with no problem, but I do understand that if you were expecting water slides and Playmakers and now they're not going to be there, that you might be disappointed.  As a matter of fact, I have 5 cruises booked on Allure between March and November 2021.  Maybe she will get amplified during that time (doubtful) but it doesn't matter to me.  I don't do water slides anyway and Playmakers is not a deal breaker to me.

We stayed in the JS for many years for some big reasons.  Full bathroom instead of standing in the tube shower, Walk in closet, a little more room and double points.  Now that we are diamond plus the double points don't mean much.  Due to age getting to the next level is out of the question.  When the price was right we got some GS and LS rooms and it will spoil you living the suite life.  We are staying in another LS this June and like Twangster said if you can swing the price Loft Suites are highly recommended!

After spending 1000s on a cruise, how much can you save bringing your own water?   Spending a little extra for water isnt going to break ya.  Now I can see maybe bringing your own bottle of wine.

Full suites have access to Coastal Kitchen for all meals, access to the suite lounge and the services of the suite concierge.  Full suites also get free Voom internet, access to the suite sun deck and dedicated seating areas at most entertainment (pre-pandemic) as well as not needing reservations for entertainment (except comedy shows).  Some ships offered a suite sailaway party one day on the helipad for full suites.
JS does get access to Coastal Kitchen for dinner only on a space available basis but no other access as noted above.
You both get to board early on day one.  Full suites get an escort to debark off the ship on the last day.
You can't extend your additional perks to them.
Harmony is a great ship and the extra perks for being in a full suite are well worth it IMO.
