Thank you so much! Definitely for family fun (extended to) and not expecting the baby to remember. But mom and dad will- hopefully for good reasons! 😂

I can't help with the travel part as we sail from NJ where we are from but we sailed last year with a 6 month old. He was just old enough to sail. 
It's not he easiest thing in the world but well worth it. We had a blast at Coco Cay and especially the awesome spray park. We also have a 10 year old, 9 last year at the time of sailing and oh boy did he have fun. The swim up bar pool, the spray park, the lagoon. Coco Cay was more than we imagined. 
Have fun and this is an awesome experience you are giving your baby and family. 

I can't help you with this but God bless you for giving a new generation an early start on RC cruising. Though it probably won't  be remembered.

Our ‘suite spot’ is JS to CLS.  We sail JS on older ships without a Coastal Kitchen, and full suites on ships with more suite amenities. The days of a balcony cabin are behind us, if hubby has his way. 😂 

Well, I get it now. We finally were able to stay in a Crown Loft Suite and no idea how were going to go back now. It truly is something else. Every day we learn more and more benefits of our CLS-- looks like we'll have to do it again 😉

Hahaha! Yes! We were supposed to be on this years presidents cruise, having never done Alaska before. My soul needed some heat and so we switched to allure and used the theoretical excursion money we would have spent to upgrade to CLS— and we’ve loved every minute!!

My family and I have one of the Owners Suites booked for August 14-20 on the Allure and just looking at videos and pictures, I truly fear that my days of ocean view only are coming to an end. It was a toss up between that or one of the CLS, so if nothing else, this will be our gateway suite 😂

The best dining package Royal offers is Star Class! 😉

Well just upgraded my 8 day Symphony 2023 sailing to a Jr suite for $700 total.
So there's that.
But I am still just a tad over $3.5k all in for the both of us.   That is all the splurging I am doing...unless there is a great deal on a dining pkg that shows up.

We did a JS  with a unlimited dining on Symphony and loved it, but our next one on Anthem will be a GS.  When we did the $$$ th GS was really not much more.   No need to do Voom or Key.  We like Coastal so need for a specialty dining package.  
Just saying do all the numbers....25 pp per day would be about 350 for 2 for 7 days.  Specialty about the same foe 2.  
The perks of a GS is a suite sun deck....no worry about pool chair hogs.   Coastal for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Voom, priority seating for shows, happy hour with free cocktails and food too.

Same here. Crown Loft sounds nice but a Jr suite on a 10 day cruise is about all we do. Of course if I pick the right numbers on power ball that will change.

Until kids are old enough to be responsible in their own room, a two bedroom suite is the way to go. I’d rather travel less often but have a suite if constrained by a vacation ‘budget’  

Next month will be our 10th suite cruise after deciding to try a family vacation on a cruise ship. And thinking that $2800 for 6 nights in a GS with extra room for a 2 yr old seemed like a good deal.
 
Needless to say, haven't come close to that 2800 since.

If I recall, the CLS steps were pretty much baby steps.  Really annoying for us taller people.

No need to worry- we have to travel the busiest times ever with school schedules so we will back in balconies quickly, but gosh, the view and service up in 17 is something that I will always dream of!

On our 30th cruise we were upgraded to a Grand Suite while sailing on the Sovereign of the Seas.  Our next 39 cruises were all in Grand or Owner Suites.  I don't think we caught the suite bug at all!  Oh our August 18th is in a GS on the ADOS in a GS, LOL!!
