9256 is awesome, a great choice on this class of ship. Been there done that and would do it again repeatedly.
I have been in 9260 which is nice but I also love not having a cabin on one side with 9256.The pinched balcony may not be as large as some folks think but I thoroughly enjoyed it both times I have had it.

I agree the call is worth it. Deanna promptly answered the "bat phone" yesterday and was phantastic! Hope you have the same good fortune.

I have not been on Anthem yet but we were considering booking a cruise on her until all this C-19 stuff kicked off.
I had asked for some advice over on CC and someone there mentioned the "square" balcony cabins. There are only eight of these and they are located (four each) on decks six and seven, with the deck six ones being officially classed as obstructed. However, when I investigated further, they didn't seem to me to be much obstructed at all. They are different from the "normal" cabins in that they are wider and shorter (if you look on the deck plans you'll see what I mean) and, from the pictures I found online at the time, they appear to have a double window opening to a wide balcony. If and when we do book a cruise on Anthem I will be seriously considering these cabins. The numbers are 6/7654, 6/7658, 6/7254 and 6/7258.
Have done these twice on Anthem and have 7258 booked down the road too. They are "boxy" but I enjoyed the wider balcony . The cabin is officially listed as 177sf with a 65sf balcony. The lifeboats do obstruct downward view but I haven't seen that as an issue, especially if the price is right.
P.S. some listings do list these with standard dimensions but those are not accurate (the 198 and 50 are the conventional category 2 E)

Had several FCC's drop within the last 24 hours for April/May cruises for my own travel and customers so hang in there!

Ovation and Radiance traded some of their crews so they could deliver them to their home countries without flights

As a home based agent, with more free time than the average bear, I almost always stay on to participate in the survey. It's only been in these last couple of months that I was ever disconnected. If applicable I like to compliment the rep while speaking with them and close by expressing my willingness to take the survey.

Also bummed here for our cruise in Feb, but I'll suffer through since it's a "freebie" JS for being double "P"

Aft balcony junkie here. Exactly where depends on the class of ship. \
Best example- Radiance class deck 10 is below outdoor seating Windjammer area with noise from wooden deck and passengers.....so NOT there. Also not on deck 7 aft on that same class due to the lounge on deck 6. Yet other classes can be quite nice to have a deck 7 or 10 aft cabin.

FCC or cash?
They chose their money back to their credit card. Even the rep was confused about the date, since it was the only qualified sailing on the 11th, but fortunately the computer did reflect it as eligible for the refund.

2 clients took the refund but it will also take longer to obtain (up to 30 days instead of 7-10). It was the asterisk Ovation cruise that actually was supposed to start on 4-11 ( leg 1 of 5 cruises they had booked to bring her all the way back to Seattle).

Oh well, Royal just suspended US cruises for 30 days starting midnight on the 14th so if misery loves company...…………..

Time to get out the largest black marker you have
I have marked up luggage tags more than once in my ascent to Pinnacle

More often than not, the cabin categories are in waitlist status when customers get a "RoyalUp" offer (t/a gets a copy of the offer too). It does limit the chances but I call it reshuffling the deck. If someone moves from your requested category, by bidding up themselves, or even a cancellation, you will be in line right away.

OV to Alaska on August 7th and half packed already.
Occasionally the cruise junkie on my left shoulder does argue with the "nay-sayer" on my right shoulder but so far so good.
