I surely agree with you about the rescue, but where do people get enough stupid to get on a safety railing and fall in?

Interesting take in the article that Norwegian is getting rid of all these production shows to "make way for new exciting shows". Seems more like a money saving move to me.

I've sailed Oasis both pre and post amplification and she is my favorite ship by far (except for that dang cats show). I agree with you about Quantum class for warm weather but they are great for Alaska. Loved the temp controlled Solariums that allowed swimming while the weather was inclement outside. I sailed another line to Alaska a couple weeks ago and just assumed the solarium would be temp controlled but it was not 😞

As someone who lives outside Florida, I hope eventually it starts doing longer itineraries. I don’t get out of bed for less than 7 nights.

Thanks @CruiseRoyalDad.  Would love to join you on HOS.  Would it be a sin if I told my wife that God asked it of me? 🙂

Also... between the adult area on PDCC and the new beach club in Nassau, and a brand new ship to take to these locations,  I can see these being very popular cruises. I have to fly down to Florida for cruises, so anything less than a week isn't worth it...but if I lived near Orlando- I could absolutely see me booking this run like twice a year easily.

Certainly true. I believe she was down about 3-4K when she hit that, but nonetheless who knows what her net winnings were on the last few days after she hit the lucky ladies
Either way, I’m not here to promote gambling or any way insinuate we can game Royal Caribbean’s casino loyalty program to gain “free” or “discounted” cruises. In the end, the house, Royal Caribbean in this case, always wins. If you gamble long enough in the casino, you will lose. Casino is just a form of entertainment and anyone gambling should be prepared to only gamble with what they can afford to lose.

I don't agree with this as most lines do not follow this practice. If everyone was 'stealing' towels all cruise lines would follow this practice.

It's whatever your budget will allow. If spending an extra $150 to pick your room will mean you have to give up an excursion or other experience I would choose the cheaper cabin and spend the extra $ on experience.

Ha, I don't consider any casino cruise free. I only play what I would spend to purchase a cruise as gambling is my entertainment. Thats why I said this credit line/wire is not for me. I usually budget $100/day and a max of $2500 to make prime as that is a reasonable number for two cruises for two pax. I also only play slots.

As you can see it is a 50% 50% call.  It depends on your likes and dislikes.  The GTY will be a room with an ocean view.  It might be on the middle of deck 3 or it might be in the bottom back of the ship next to the closet.  I have cruised enough I do not really care where my room is so I purchase a lot of GTY cabins.  The reason you would pick the GTY is because of the money saving.  Is $150 a lot to you?  I look at the $150 as two or three shore excursions or 10 drinks on the ship.  I would rather have the GTY and have money to pay for something else.  Many people do not want to be on the very front of the ship or the very bottom of the ship.  For them the $150 is not worth giving up the location of the room.  Now you have to look at your priorities.

I don't think that's too controversial of an opinion, even here. I think most would agree that if you're paying more, everything should be better, including the food. It's the people who think paying Royal's prices entitles them to food and beverage as served on a luxury line which kills me. Or, in the case of Disney versus Royal, claiming Royal is "nickel and diming" because Disney includes soft drinks in their fare while you have to pay for them on Royal. Conveniently ignoring the price difference between the two.

LNG is a lot cleaner than fuel oil, but it's not zero emission. Some creative marketing with the term "net zero" there.

It's me, staring at the Independence of the Seas from the Disney Wish concierge lounge on B2B turn around day.  2 decks and gorgeous!
My super tiny concierge cabin was very well appointed. (maybe 300 sq ft)The swag was amazing because it's a 25th anniversary and still Inaugural year. Take aways, Royal suites are just larger and I prefer the bath products on Royal.
The crew is mostly kind, a bit more aloof especially in the concierge lounge, Royal is a stand out there also but again MOST of the crew are amazing but the ones that aren't on DCL are very apparent and do not seem to care much regarding the guests. The bad or passive aggressive attitudes are on board.
DCL food in my opinion has the edge over Royal. Sorry but the menus and food choices are inventive and very tasty. The shows with dinner, um a bit manic BUT I don't have little ones anymore.
Our wait staff is amazing, we really lucked out here!
The shows technical situation is super elevated, the theater allows concierge to enter before general admission and choose your seats before anyone else, I love this!
Disney ques are famous and everywhere even while waiting for the parking deck to open but in the same sentence everything runs very orderly and efficiently.
We are enjoying our time on the Disney Wish but family concensus we can't wait to board the Wonder in a few weeks. Royal for the win!
What I paid for this 7 night in a concierge family stateroom is more then my 7 night western in a CLS on the Wonder.....Dear Royal, I'm on my way!

Many years ago we did a Disney cruise followed by a Disney World trip.  On the ship there were plenty of characters available for photo ops with little or no wait.  After the cruise at the park there were up to 30 minute waits for a photo with a character.     The parks were a big let down compared to the ship as far as the overall experience went.   Long waits for everything, mediocre food in the parks, cast members very busy, etc.
The ship experience was great but not so great that it screamed this it was so worth it compared to other cruise lines.  It's very good service, usually, but not worth the premium compared to a Royal Caribbean cruise, at least in my opinion.  Fun to do once but now that my kids are grown up they don't even remember the Disney cruise.  Oh well, we've still got the pictures to prove they did it.  🤣
