Our family enjoys geocaching both at home and when we travel. Does anyone have any experiences with Geocaches in ports?   Next month we will be stopping in Nassau and Labadee.  We weren't planning on getting off the ship in Nassau unless there is a cache worth finding. 
Next year's port stops are Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Our day in Cozumel a couple weeks ago and being parked next to HOS convinced us to book SOS for next year.    We wished they would have done ship tour excursions.

I didn't want to buy into all the Buc-ee's hype - but - man. my sandwich was amazing.  And, they had geocaches to find. And the dog park signs were the best. 
For dinner - we didn't get a photo of the Japchae! but it was great. Driving in this Houston suburb was a bit crazy.

Last year they built a Bucee's just 3 miles from our house. I was sure you were at my Bucee's, but then you said you were going to Arlington so you must have hit one on 35. It definitely has a cult following, and you won't find a cleaner gas station bathroom! 

Exactly I just want to know how much less and she really tried to push that $75  bless her heart!

Family of 4 here-- we either need one balcony or two inside rooms to be able to get some space. This year we did connecting interiors and mostly loved it. Except for when one of the kids needed down time and one of us needed to be in the room with them.  -- that was when we missed the balcony.   Trying a Central Park Balcony next year. 
 
So I guess this is a real choice for us every time - it's just for the same cruise instead of getting an "extra" ?

I just called and received a $223 price reduction for this cruise!   I check every week to see if there has been a rate change and eureka!  The sales agent kept saying but you're going to lose your $75 OBC!  So what?  My fare was reduced by $223.00!   And that's money I can use anyway I choose, not just on board.  Whoopie!?

More cruises.
Bucket list destinations come with bigger price tags.  I'd rather experience two special bucket list destinations rather than just one in my lifetime (or every 5 years).
Balconies are great, make no mistake, but once you step into the hall your cabin type is irrelevant.  Once you are off the ship even more so.  To experience a destination you take an excursion or tour.  By saving money on cabin type I can take over the top excursions and really experience a destination.
Suites are really great too.  Cruise once every 5 years in a suite, once every two years in a balcony or twice a year in interior?   
My fondest cruise memories don't generally involve my cabin.  

First round of trivia.....not so good. At least the drinks are tasty.
 

I also noticed the lack of room service trays/etc. when we were on board Liberty a couple of weeks ago. We also enjoyed the engaging crew. Glad to see someone else is giving deck 4 some morning lap love.  Definitely my favorite place to get some air and some steps to justify an extra beverage or two....

Sea Day #2
I woke up this morning and made my way to the cafe promenade to repair my caffeine to blood ratio, and did a few laps around the outside of deck 4.
Here is our current location

We don’t have too many plans for the day other than some relaxing. My daughter did want to do the cupcake decorating class so we do have that. There will be more pool time. I’m going to try to get some time on the slides etc. There will be some trivia, which I will lose, some more beverages etc. 
some stray observations: As would be expected, the crew is very dedicated and friendly, but I feel are even more so than the crew we had on Navigator. They seem to be engaging us, and the kids (which I feel is more important) more enthusiasticly.
The ship is very clean. When on Navigator, the level of house keeping seemed to be lower. Every day the hallways were full of room service trays sitting outside stateroom doors for hours and hours. Here this is far less. The pool decks are also swept of empty glasses etc quickly it seems. 
 
Now I know these are subjective observations and can vary from sailing to sailing and experience to experience but it has stuck out in my mind.
I have not posted to many pictures of the ship. @twangster has a great blog when he was on Liberty with outstanding pictures. If anyone out there in the blogosphere wants something specific, let me know and I will seek it out.

I assume that you are sleeping on the couch, because your daughter is definitely wondering why you are taking pictures in HER room.

Nothing you can do beforehand.  Once you are onboard go to the Photo people and have them link your staterooms.  Too make it easier to manage, whenever you have photos taken, they will ask what stateroom; so just give the same stateroom number every-time.  

We were following this story as it happened (and still) because my brother and sil are on the current shortened sailing. (Yes - last week was a bad week for cruise changes for our family) Plus we sailed on the Epic last year after our Adventure OTS cruise was canceled.   The responses from people on board was very mixed - in fact I think most made the best of their cruise - some disappointment in missing ports - but felt they were taken care of. The biggest complaint we heard about was some of the delayed and lack of communication.
