Geocaching in ports

Our family enjoys geocaching both at home and when we travel. Does anyone have any experiences with Geocaches in ports?   Next month we will be stopping in Nassau and Labadee.  We weren't planning on getting off the ship in Nassau unless there is a cache worth finding.

Next year's port stops are Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Thanks!

We geocache all the time in ports.  In many ports other geocachers have set up meet and greets which is an easy way to grab a cache in the ports.  Geocaching can take you places that you normally wouldn’t think about going and it has lead to many interesting stories for my family and I. We typically do the earth caches or virtual caches to enhance our experience and learn about the countries/cities we are visiting.

Geocaching is fun in port!  If, for no other reason, it's a great way to add another country/location to your Geocaching statistics.  We were able to add Haiti, Curacao, Aruba, Puerto Rico (I know...it's not a country...), USVI, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Mexico to our list.  The cache in Curacao (GC2M1VJ - "Curacao's Swinging Old Lady"was our farthest find south, AND the farthest find from home!
