Try right away when you get on board.  You will not be able to walk into Izumi Hibachi and get a place. (Well, never say never, but it's extremely popular).

There's a section that says "Hungry Now" and only venues that are currently open show up.  There will be $$ signs if they are not completely complimentary.

If you're on the ship, it's in the Dining section.  It won't show up until you are on the ship and connected to the ship's wifi. (You don't need Voom to use the app, but  you do have to connect).

We found this to be a problem once Mr. SpeedNoodles dislocated his knee (for 2 days, before he figured out why it hurt so much).  He couldn't go down any stairs, so we had to stop going to the Hideaway Bar.
As far as the Hideaway Beach Club, we loved that heated pool.  It's SO big. We'd definitely go again.  And hopefully next time he can walk, lol.

This was, hands down, our best cruise ever. We loved the ship,  the wide Promenade and all of the ocean views and natural light. But sailing with friends made it amazing.  The crew made it amazing. We spent a lot of time with the gang at the Schooner Bar. Will, Johanna, Sumi, and John Eli were the best! And Gemma, who didn't make the photo.

Not because the food in the specialty restaurants,  as it was.  But we found ourselves wanting to eat other places more than the specialty restaurants because the complimentary food (I'm looking at you,  Aquadome) was so good!  When we get a chance to sail on Icon again we will not repeat this faux pas.
 

Nobody called me.  

The benches are torture. We had pretty bad back pain after sitting for 50 minutes. 

I know it varies greatly by sailing, these things always do, but FWIW, the price for my Wonder 3/17/24 cruise is now on sale for even less than it was during Black Friday.
It's $19.99pp now.
Dynamic pricing is of course driven by supply and demand so it could be because we are the only ship there and it's a spring break cruise so more kids means less adults able to go there even if they wanted to. Just thought I'd share in case those who are interested and/or already booked wanted to check the price.

Meanwhile my 13 and 10 year-old nieces are borderline suite snobs. We Facetimed them from our interior on Indy (they've only been on Oasis class) and they acted like we were on a row boat... There's no Central Park? There's no Boardwalk? There's no CK? WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? 🤣

Thanks to you all for taking the time from your vacation to present us with an amazing trip report. I really felt like I was right there experiencing it with you! I was so excited to get a peak into what Royal had created and while it's not for me personally I know it will be a hit for them. The photos and descriptions were so appreciated, you all did a great service to those of us on the sidelines. I was sad it was over as it was so much fun! Thanks again, so very much!

Thank you guys for this. I have Icon on the books and other than Voom. I will be doing everything a la carte, it sounds like the complementary options are good.
I want to say I always thought Icon was ugly but I will put up with that for tot town to keep the tiny humans occupied.

Disembarkation was seamless. No different than any other ship from Terminal A.
