A rather undignified process.  I would have thought that they would of at least put them into some kind of lock or berth of some kind.  Just pushing them up on the beach like that is rather rude.  Surprised to see the life boats still attached.  I guess they are of no value to anyone now but still would have thought that they would have removed them beforehand.  Definitely a less-than-dignified end.

Agreed.  On the news last night the outlook for a vaccine is promising but estimated to be widely available "in the spring".  If that proves to hold true a mid-2021 restart seems likely.  

I heard that stocks in general were up today due to good news from Moderna (vaccine testing).  But I only know  what I heard ... I actually know nothing, lol.

2nd quarter of next year? Ugh, so much for Empress ?

I realize I've been and continue to be a negative nellie about this, but think hard about Feb 2021 and how realistically cruises can be expecting to sail again. Especially to the Bahamas, when they just closed their borders to all US citizens today with no stated expiration.

I've only heard this when people use big consolidated TAs. For those of use who have used MEI Travel, they have saved us so much time and hassle.  I'd never book a cruise again without using them.  That being said, they typically don't deal with Cruise Planner items.

This is 100% where I'm at.  It always make me think of what George Carlin said:

The CDC isn't extorting anyone.  Is NCL's Pride of America sailing right now?  Are the American crew on that ship impervious to the virus?  If all cruise lines had all American fleets with all American workers the CDC would produce the same no sail order.   
To be exempt from PVSA and Jones Act does not equate to being exempt from the CDC.   To be exempt from the coastwise trade restrictions on foreign flagged vessels ships have to be built in America using US steel.  They can't take a foreign built ship and register it in America to qualify.  There are no US shipyards that can build large ships other than those that build US Navy ships.  Our federal tax dollars pay the significantly inflated prices for those.  
 The one ship that the CDC is allowing to sail is not a US flagged ship and that ship wasn't built in America.  If the CDC had a political agenda, which it has proven time and again that it does not,  the CDC would allow the Pride of America to sail and yet it doesn't, because it isn't political or driven by a political agenda.
 

In fairness, this is an appropriate window of time to expect Royal's IT department to correct an issue.

Just wanted to let you all know we  receive all are refunds today. We have ben waiting since the middle of March.

After waiting since the middle of March we have received all of our refunds. We would also like to say a big thank you to Michelle @ Mei Travel for all the hard work she has done for us during this crazy time.

When you tip at a bar on a ship, even a little, especially early in a cruise, they see you coming, even if it's busy. Service becomes much more personalized. At least that's been our experience on every cruise to date.

I'm being more and more convinced!
