I just booked an Empress cruise yesterday (Nov 2020) with the intent of L&S it to Odyssey in Dec. 21.  Guess I'll find out soon how that works out !!

It's all good! And yes, that's how I picked my moniker for this site. Best Baked Alaska I had was eating at the Captain's table on the SS Norway in 1985. It's one of those good old fashioned fifties type desserts. It shouldn't be messed with. Kinda like lime jello molds and eggs in aspic. ?
Truly, I've not experienced anything bad or inedible on a ship, BUT! My husband ("bless his heart") ordered the chicken breast when we ate at Chops during our embarkation lunch on Radiance OS. Dry, chewy, and presentation, well basically a single chicken breast on a white plate. Not dressed in the least (the chicken breast, he wore clothes). Who eats chicken in a steak house? He took a bite of my filet and wished he had ordered that. Lesson learned. Go with the specialty offered. Less risky.

We have a B2B on NAV booked in Nov, but of course, it is almost certainly going to be cancelled.  We have done B2B on NAV before.  It's an awesome ship since the Amp.  Since we have to fly, there is no way I would consider flying to FL for a 3 or 4 night cruise, but 7 is acceptable, if not ideal.  Personally, I think it's a very smart move.  The only problem with the shorties on NAV is that the drinks packages are waaaytooo high and itins are very limited but if you're just out to get on a ship for a few days, and don't really care where you're going, I think it's a great option.
As for the UDP, I think it is some of the best money spent on dining on any ship.  There are lots of eating options and the last time we were on NAV, they actually had Izumi open while in the Bahamas, so we were able to get some lunches in addition to the dinners.  I certainly wouldn't count on that happening now, but it did the last time we were on her. We love, love, love Hooked so we ate there a lot.

There's pizza in Cafe Promenade. It's basically the same pizza as that in Sorrento's, imo.  The $20 for Playmakers is per visit.  You can go as many times as you like.

@ehw51 So sorry to hear your 50th plans were bumped.  Like you say, hopefully you will make it next year instead.  2021 is our 25th and Ceil and I are hoping to be on the Anthem Group Cruise to Norway.  Crossing our fingers...

We Lifted and Shifted our Empress sailing (1/2021) to an Odyssey sailing (1/2022) - we had to cancel the Symphony sailing in 1/2022 because they left the same day.  But we swapped an OS on Empress for OS (Sky Class) on Odyssey for a STEAL!!!  Thanks to @WAAAYTOOO for encouraging me to check to see if it could be done, and another HUGE thank you to @michelle for making it happen!!!!

Testing should continue to get easier, faster, and more accurate. Apparently this test is a saliva test, rapid, and quite accurate.  It certainly gives me hope.
