  1. It dropped down to $12.99/day for my Oct cruise (I snagged it at $16.99 about 6 months ago). I should cancel and rebook but I'm still waiting for my money to come back from something I canceled two weeks ago (not long, I know, but I kind of only want to do one at a time so I can keep track of them, lol).
  2. I don't think that they have any intention of making the WJ space a paid-food space. I think they just want to make it safer. I'd be ok with the food court concept. I might actually eat there then!
  3. Interesting that the last person was allowed to L&S to a sailing that was not the same number of days ("the cruise was an extra night"). I inquired (or rather, Michelle did) about L&S from an 8-night down to a 7-night and they said no. I wonder if it is because they are Britains (based on the currency type quoted).
  4. He posted it immediately. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/05/20/royal-caribbean-will-cancel-all-sailings-through-july-31-due-coronavirus
  5. She was, but that was only because of the new Royal Caribbean terminal that was going to be built. That's been delayed, so now Allure likely can't come (the current terminal isn't capable of accommodating an Oasis class ship).
  6. Isn't @michelle just the best? Congrats on snagging that room. I looked at some Royal Class suites on that sailing when Raye mentioned it, too. If I didn't already have the RCBlog group cruise to Norway in July 2021 and the RCBlog GC in November 2021 I would have jumped on it (since I'd have ALL that extra money, lol) If I can't get the time off for the Thanksgiving sailing I may still crash the Allure party.
  7. I respectfully disagree. The nights weren't sailed, the room wasn't paid for. The points weren't earned. It's not their fault that this virus exists. It's not like they're making bank off of this fiasco.
  8. Matt indicated that there would be another Cruise Planner sale starting on Friday (so they'll show up Thursday, probably).
  9. Like other tourism-dependent locations, the islands of The Bahamas have taken a major economic hit in recent months. But Bahamian prime minister Hubert Minnis says that things could slowly be changing. While addressing his constituency on Sunday, the politician said, “Our resorts, our airports and our seaports are finalizing the health and safety protocols that will be necessary for us to provide for a re-opening.” He then acknowledged that the plan was to try and re-open the country on or before July 1. https://cruiseradio.net/bahamas-could-welcome-cruise-ships-back-july-1st/
  10. There has to be tons to do without actually going into Paris, nearly 2 1/2 hours away from the port, though.
  11. Possibly in dry dock for an amplification!
  12. @Matt will have to decide his/her fate. Since his posts aren't violating any of the rules for posting, it's up to us to consider every article with a critical eye.
  13. I can't imagine having the time to have 100 taken in the first place. To me that's basically unlimited, lol (says the woman who runs from any camera pointed at her, while her husband passes her because he's running faster).
  14. That was my feeling, too. That was 17 minutes ago ... tick, tick, tick....
  15. Facebook Messenger seems to be one of the most reliable ways to contact someone at Royal Caribbean these days, although, as Matt said, until they decide it's a no sail, it's a sail (even though it likely won't be). I'd certainly try them on their Facebook page, if you have access.
  16. This is true. I really don't know what it's like to wear it very long. I'm at Costco for about 20 minutes, so that's my limit of having worn one, lol.
  17. I did this with my first mask, which didn't fit very well. My new one fits so well that I forget it's on and never have to adjust it (granted I only wear it when at Costco - I rarely ever go anywhere else.) We don't wear them at work, even though I wish we did. While the dispatchers can social distance from each other, I have to get right up next to them when they have a problem on their computer, usually within 2 feet. It makes me uncomfortable. My dispatchers are young and will likely be the first ones driving across the border to drink at bars in Wisconsin since they're open now. I wear my mask to hopefully protect others from me, should I be positive and asymptomatic.
  18. There's a group working on Covid-19-sniffing dogs, too, which sounds WAY cooler to me. Ooopssss!!!! That's not the right photo!!!!!!!!!!! Here: https://animals.howstuffworks.com/animal-facts/dogs-sniff-out-coronavirus.htm
