AshleyDillo got a reaction from Pinky in Refreshment package question
Mocktails start at $7 plus 18% gratuity. Frozen drinks are usually a little more.

I have heard of you dining reservations causing this 2 hour block when trying to book shows. So to me it would make sense that it applies to another resturant reservation also

Pro tip: if you're ever not on a ship with a Giovannis Kitchen, the room service pizzas come in boxes as well...the $7.95 service fee (free if in a suite!) is worth it as you can order as many as you like 😉

AshleyDillo got a reaction from FloatyBoaty in Unlimited Dining Reservations on App, and Limitations.
The app schedules you for a 2 hour block when you make a specialty reservation which prevents you from reserving anything else during that time period.
It also does that for the first night based on what time slot you chose in the Cruise Planner when you purchased the package. It really only gets in your way when you are trying to use the app to set up your reservations once you board.

AshleyDillo got a reaction from Ampurp85 in Giovanni's Italian Lunch- First timer questions
I took my leftover pizza from Giovanni's Kitchen on Freedom with no questions asked. They put it on a plate and wrapped it in plastic for me. Later on I saw they had boxes, so not sure why they didn't think about that earlier on but who knows 😂 I enjoyed eating the pizza later on that evening; even cold it was still great.

Ok, I get it, gas prices are high and we decided, at the last moment, to fly from the Gulf Coast of Texas to Seattle. I don’t understand why you chose this forum to complain about that issue - the high price of gas has nothing to do with cruise ships or cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean. Not only that, you or someone you know chose to go on an Alaskan cruise- no one twisted your arm. You could have switched to a cruise that sails from a port on the East Coast. Everyone not living on the West Coast has to decide whether the ability to visit Alaska is worth the extra travel expenses - just a thorn to go along with the roses.
I am not sure what you were trying to accomplish by submitting your original post. You stated that you enjoyed the cruise but pretty much complained about the food, the itinerary being changed (due to a medical emergency), having to stop in B.C., the fact that someone caught Covid, and so on and so on. What part of the cruise or Alaska did you enjoy? I’m sure some of us would appreciate more details about the positive experiences.
Or were you merely venting and expecting sympathy?

This blog is absolutely biased and rightfully so. It was created and patronized by royal fans. Most people in here are realistic about any royal shortcomings generally speaking however. We view royal like a family member, we can talk smack about when appropriate but will defend it to others when appropriate as well.

Slots are going to be in USD even for the European cruises. They should have ATMs by Guest Services that will be able to dispense Euros, but I would just use an ATM on land in the ports as needed and deal with the ATM fees. I use a no foreign transaction fee credit card when I'm out of the US for most purchases so I don't have to deal with much currency exchange.
Also, crew tips will be fine in USD.

You can't book reservations for dining packages ahead of time regardless of it being kids or adults unless you're going to pay the planner price to secure the reservation.

You actually will get the benefits of RoyalUpping to a suite, just not the extra loyalty point per night. The suite GTY gets the benefits of the room you end up getting and you still get the extra point per night as well.

Where in Iowa are you located? Nomi Health has testing locations in Des Moines and Council Bluffs. I use them locally in Florida and they have both PCR and antigen testing options at my site.
https://patient.nomihealth.com/signup/26?referrer=nomi_sp_ia
They don't have any information on the age limits for testing, but you can try the phone number on their site or the live chat or contact forms to ask for the age requirements if either of those locations are convenient for you.

My preference is as early as possible so I have time to squeeze in a later meal, too. 😂

Thanks for getting that title changed/moved. Fingers crossed nothing changes on this b2b, we were really excited about this one even so far out!

I also have an annual policy through Allianz. It covers any trip I take more than 100 miles from my home, door to door. It may not have as robust of a policy limit for trip delay/interruption as single trip policies do, but I would rather cover more trips. It has the medical coverage which is what could truly be financially devastating for the average cruiser.

Since this sailing is going to move over to Adventure, I'm changing the title to reflect it has been cancelled for the time being since the official Adventure itinerary has not been released at this time.

I share the same curiosity as @SpeedNoodles so I hope if you do sail with them you come back and share your experience! From what I've heard and seen from those who have cruised Virgin, I am very curious as to what your perspective would be of what they have to offer!
