Your totally welcome. The app is very useful so that people can view the daily compass for each day before they get to their stateroom and you can also add activities that you would like to do on any of the days that they are being presented.
Also you can made reservation for dinner and for shows (that require reservations) right in the app.

Ships that suggest show reservations are the quantum class and oasis class.

For the Quantum class & Oasis class: All of the shows that require reservations will be listed under the Onboard Activities tab starting @ about 60-75 days before the cruise.
Keep checking your cruise and planner to see if any shows are available to reserve pre-cruise.
Also reservations for the shows can be done once you have boarded the ship on embarkation day.
If you forget to reserve shoes you can still see the show but you have to arrive 10-15 minutes before the beginning of the show because once the doors to the show close you will not be able to enter.

if you have a smartphone or tablet you should download the Royal Caribbean International app now and then you can view the cruise compass for your cruise before your cruise. The app is free to download, and can be used on any royal Caribbean ship without purchasing a WiFi package. You can make all of your reservations through the app just as if you were making reservations on the cruise planner using a laptop or computer
Mytime Dining times can be done before you reserve  the days and times of the shows that you wanna attend.

There is some beaches in St.Martin that has a great view and some of the beaches there also has a great backdrop for pictures. Also the outer decks in the daytime on the ship and also standing on your balcony is nice backdrops for photos & videos. Since you say that you have more people cruising with you and would like them to have access to the coco beach club and want the other people to have access to the overwater cabana in the coco beach club you could purchase as many overwater cabanas that you need or you can purchase 1 coco beach club overwater cabanas with coco beach club wristband, and then purchasing wristbands for the other people that are cruising with and is also on your reservation that is more than the allowed amount of people in the cabanas.

I have put a credit Card attached to my sea pass account one 4 different cruises and not once did I have a pre-authorized hold on my credit card any of the 4 times that I added a credit card to my sea pass card/account
The daily charge amount is $500 a day per person for 7+ night sailings & $300 a day for 2 - 5 night sailings, if you go over the daily limit the cruise ship will charge your credit card that is linked with your sea pass card once you have reached the daily limit on your sea pass account.
Once you reached the daily limit the ship will call the guest to inform them that the daily limit has been reached and that they need to pay their bill so that you can continue to charge things to your sea pass account & your sea pass account has been paid after reaching the daily limit you can begin charging things to your sea pass account again the same day that you pay your sea pass account once you have reached the daily limit for each day of your cruise.

I did the exact same thing as you did when I booked my first 3 cruise I selected not to pre-pay gratuities & then several months later I’ve decide to pre-pay gratuities so I tried to add the gratuities to the reservation myself but I did not see the option to add pre-paid gravities online so I had to call RC and give them my reservation # & told them that I would like to pre-pay gratuities.
The only way to pre-pay gratuities after you have put a deposit down is to call RC & provide them with your reservation # & tell them that you would like to pre-pay the gratuities.

The same things that you want to know for your first cruise without your parents is the same things that I wanted to know back in 2014 when I booked my mom’s & Aunt’s 5th cruise, family friend’s 1st cruise & my 2nd cruise that was the first time that I had booked a cruise on my own. That was also the first time that I had done the online checkin for my mom & I buy myself which I thought was harder RC’s current online checkin process because with the complete change of their website all of the passenger information is asked one screen for each passenger which is easier then the old online checkin system.
I would check in my bigger checked bag if I were you because then you don’t have to wheel your leg gage around until staterooms are ready. If you do check your bigger luggage in I would definitely put the items that You will need for the first few hours in your carry-on in case your luggage does not arrive until after you have dinner.
The travel documents that you should put if your carry-on is: the proper travel visa allowing you enter the US  (if you are not from the US), Birth Certificate & Drivers License or Naturalized citizen Certificate/Green Card (if not born in the US but moves to the US after you were born) & Drivers License or a passport book or a passport card.
Also put your swimsuit in your carry-on if your going to give your checked bag(s) to the porters, and you would like to go swimming soon after you board the ship on embarkation day.
If you are driving to port everglades then you would not have to pay for parking until disembarkation and the cruise is over. Google how much is port everglades parking and it should tell you how much parking at port is, also google offsite cruise parking port everglades, and look at a variety of places that offer parking and shuttles to and from port everglades and if they are cheaper than parking at the port then consider parking at an offsite cruise parking facility.
Hope pe this helps. Hope you have fun on the cruise without your parents.

Correct. Since you said that you are traveling with kids that are under 21, I would book a suite especially if the kids are infants and will be sleeping in a crib pack & play in the same room as the adults.
If your kids are able to sleep in an adult bed then book multiple connecting rooms to your room or directly across the hall, but. If you want all of the adults & kids to be in the same room then book a suite that has multiple bedrooms.
In my opinion booking a suite is worth the extra money because you get a bigger balcony then if you were to be in a balcony room, more space in the room, priority boarding on embarkation, robes are provided in your room for use while you are onboard the ship, complementarity drink packages, can eat all meals at the Coastal kitchen which is for people staying in a suite) and much more.
