You shouldn't have any issues and shouldn't be delayed, if anything being last off may make it easier, less crowds, as @HeWhoWaits says, grab a porter and if there is a line, they usually have little secrets and you breeze right through.
@GoodAtStuffAndThings ,Different topic, on your Global Entry card, how long was the wait for you husband before his went conditionally approved? I applied for my wife and I at the same time, hers came through around 30 days, I've now been waiting for the "official" review for 90 days. We are trying to make it to where we both go for our interviews at the same time, we don't have an office local so we are going to have to go to a minimum Dallas.
I like to remind people of this when it is pertinent, San Juan has an Agriculture baggage scan that you have to go through at the airport, if you don't have the little sticker on your luggage you cannot check them with the airline, so go do the Agriculture scan first, then to the ticket counter.

I hope this doesn't make me sound like a jerk and I'm not jinxing my cruise next week, but I sort of breathe a sigh of relief when I hear about problems on another ship.  I feel like it cuts down on the possibility something will go wrong on mine too, statistically speaking.  ?

While waiting to board a flight recently I saw another variant of the "Not your bag" tag that I liked a lot. It said: "Not worth taking". ?
Great idea about making a DIY version.

We all love checking our luggage curbside at the terminal and having them magically appear outside our cabins.  Many of us having made the $8 investment in luggage tag holders that if you ever plan to take another cruise should be high on your list of cruise "must haves".
There is always the small chance that someone might see your luggage and in a case of mistaken identity grab your bag by mistake.  This can happen after the cruise as well if you use the luggage tags and place your bags in the hallways the last night of the cruise.  Once in the terminal with a sea of other bags they all look a like.  It can happen when you fly too.
I'd seen luggage tags you could buy on Amazon that boldly warn people "This is NOT your bag" or "Hands off!" - anything that might make a person pause and think before grabbing your suitcase if it looks just like theirs.
It dawned on me I have these luggage tag holders so instead of buying a "Not Your bag" luggage tag, why not just print one and use the Royal luggage tag holders?

Simply print them off, cut and slide one into a cruise ship luggage tag holder.

Put luggage tags on anything you turn over with The Key. You'll have to do it anyway, you might as well be prepared and do it ahead of time.

I've put them on a carry-on because sometimes when packing up to leave the cruise, we have fewer things we need to keep with us than what we wanted to have immediately available on the first day, and therefore sometimes the carry-on can get put out the last night to be picked up.  (extra toiletries, extra OTC medications, etc)

Also, as many will mention, I’m a big fan of the plastic luggage tag covers you can purchase from Amazon or from @CruiseHabit Ric. Will keep you from rushing on embarkation morning trying to borrow a hotel stapler and hoping that they don’t fall off.

Im always good with the number, but being able to find it is a different story. Being directionally challenged means using lots of signs on board trying to find things.

Were planning on using them on our Navigator sailing even though all we’ll have it carry on bags and using The Key. Hopefully it’ll be an extra layer of making sure they don’t get lost.

I agree with this.  Anything that isn't the back pack I use as a purse while traveling is going to have a cruise tag on it in case it gets separated from me.  Since I will have children with me on at least half my sailings it is easy to lose track of things.

If you have extras you might as well put them on your carry-on. That way if they get misplaced somewhere on the ship at least they could possibly make their way back to your room. Usually you don't let the carry-ons out of your sight before they end up at your room.

I’ve never put them on my carry on, though I would say it can’t hurt to print out extra copies of the tags in case you change your mind about why you’d like to check.

I updated the list.  Everything is caught up to this point.  If I have left you off the list, it is because information was missing (ship or sail date).  Please have a look and let me know if there are any changes up until this point. ?

For pretty much all of our land vacations, this is very true. But when it comes to cruising, it's almost 100% reversed. My wife likes to hear about the excursion options and have a say in which ones we book, and she'll do some research on that front, but apart from that I'm managing every micro-detail of the planning process. She's probably relieved there's one type of vacation where she gets to sit back through the lead-up! ?
