I also assume you don't fall in to the category of, "paying too much attention to what other people are doing and letting it ruin your vacation"  ?
I'm the same way - I just know there's a lot of people that feel pretty passionate about the dress code. 

Rational and sane people do not say things like that repeatedly. Nothing about saying you want to kill people is innocent. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of people who do end up carrying out those actions posted similar things to their own social media accounts.

Thanks everyone..I have been in touch with the Global security and Investigations Operations for Royal......they had asked me not to say anything further at this point as they look into this.
 
I certainly don't want to get any one in trouble but at the very least, even if this is all innocent speak on social media, it certainly doesn't make Royal look good...and it could be potentially much worse. 

This seems like the kind of thing you send to literally anyone who will listen. 

This definitely concerns me and I hope you have already reported this to Royal Caribbean. If not please let me know who it is and I will report them today and provide screenshots of anything questionable in case he deletes it upon questioning. Either way let me know who it is and I will report him as well. The more people the report it the more seriously it will be taken. This guy needs to be removed from any cruise ships before he can hurt anyone. Too often we hear about all the signs that were present before attacks but nobody said anything.

I'm not sure what jurisdiction the police have but I bet DHS might be interested.

I have a sailing coming up in December with my mom on Oasis in a Jr suite and I’m wondering if the wow bands will be available on oasis. If wowbands are available on oasis would I have to purchase the wow bands or will they be in the suite when we arrive?

Can I pre-purchase the bands to have them in our stateroom when we arrive?

@accio7 I'm glad you enjoyed my blog, a lot of people seem to think us crew are treated like slaves! And thank you for your kind words - as a crew member we really appreciate it when a guests compliments our service.
Crew members on the ship are literally from all over the world. I would say the most popular is Filipino and Indian. With the shop staff - we are mainly from Europe, South Africa, and India.

So far only Mariner is doing "Dress your Best" that I know of.  Mariner only does 3 and 4 night Bahamas cruises at the moment.  Short cruises don't tend to see as much formal wear as longer cruises.  Caribbean cruises tend not to be as formal as European cruises.  
I'm one of those people who doesn't notice what other people wear.  I tend to bring an old sports coat and shirt with a collar.  No tie.  It's hardly formal but quite average.  I don't even notice what other people wear.  If you offered me a $100 as I walked out of the dining room to tell you what the table beside me wore at dinner I couldn't.  

I also tend not to notice what other people are wearing, and don't care all that much. 
Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of formal night. After a long day of relaxing in the sun the last thing I want to do is go back to my cabin, spend forever getting ready, and put on uncomfortable shoes just to go to dinner. If it's just my husband and I cruising we pretty much always skip it and either do specialty or just go to the Windjammer.

If you are set on specific restaurants and times booking individual before provides a guarantee of venue and time.  

All depends on how much is ordered. For example the Sashimi combo (15 slices) and tuna wasabi (think 5) would be $30. Add to the mix specialty rolls in the $13-17 range. Things can add up real quick.

They used to give you a $50 PP credit at Izumi but then it went down to $35.  All I know is that Dan cannot stay within his $35 allowance but I can.

The button itself is pneumatic (like a hot-tub button) and the flushing operates off a vacuum bus.  Branches off the bus are dedicated to a set number of staterooms.  This means that it can run off a small number of vacuums, yet if there is a leak in the system it only affects a small number of rooms not every unit on that same bus.  Every however-many staterooms you'll find a small main panel in the hall when  the vacuum can be checked, adjusted, etc - along with other electrical, mechanical, and plumbing stuffs.  When you hit the button it's pushing air through a tube to open the valve that lets the force of the vacuum pull everything from the toilet.  
Not sure about the brand of grease.

To the extent that we grew up with these beliefs, and that we sincerely believe them, we usually don't feel deprived. There's no denying a certain amount of difficulty on a practical level, but we accept it as a "given", much like the salary that gets withheld from my paycheck for taxes - I don't miss it because I never realistically saw it.
In any case, I keep reminding myself about people with unusually severe allergies. Compared to them, I have it very easy.

@Keeves, I find your post interesting and am somewhat aware of eating Kosher from past bosses.  I also find your attitude to be tremendous considering some the items you would really like (like Vanilla or Hazelnut for your coffee!) not being available.  You appear to be a very humble man. I hope you re enjoying your first cruise!
