Instead of using your free days you can apply a $45.98 discount against a full voyage Surf plan.  Use your wife’s two free days then use your $45.98 discount to buy Surf full voyage for the remaining days.  It will be prorated as each day passes.

Generally what happens in the open sessions is that each rider is given a turn.  Once they fall they go to the end of the line and the next person is up.  If the line is short your wait for your next turn might be quick.  If the line is long and the riders are good (they don't fall soon) it can take longer for your next turn.
Sometimes if you fall right away the staff might allow you try again.

    @RCVoyager
While I may have a difference of opinion when we are done, I would have to say it depends on the circumstances. We intentionally did it on this cruise because we were NOT cruising with friends/family. So generally speaking, I would agree with that sentiment; it would be hard to enjoy this experience AND try to enjoy the company of fellow cruisers. We have also had to curtail our drinking (which you may not believe if you read our live blog).

It really depends on the individual person and your personal goals too. If your goal is to eat, drink, see all the shows, lounge by the pool or relax the whole cruise, this may not be the best fit. But if you pick this with intention, you may have an amazingly positive experience. If we could go back and rebook and plan this better, we probably would have NOT selected the UDP, the spa all week access, or The Key. (I’ll give a better review when we are done) Getting our certification has been a goal of ours for almost 9 years. To FINALLY be able to get it done, AND scuba in some amazing ports, AND have the security of a 5 Star PADI dive shop with amazing instructors, for one low price, it really is something that SHOULD be considered. You just must do your due diligence to ensure this experience fits the circumstances.

We live in Worcester, MA and we drive down the day before for the same reason we fly down to Florida the day before - to avoid the stress of something coming up that is completely out of our control - traffic, weather, construction, etc etc etc.   We also like to get on the ship right at 10:30 am, which would mean waking everyone up by 4:00 am for the drive (again to factor in several additional hours just to be safe).  Yes, it's an added cost, but one that helps me feel a whole lot more relaxed at the start of my vacation.

We live in between Providence and Worcester.  We stayed in NJ once for a Cape Liberty cruise but only because we had a big group.  It worked out OK, but I really like parking on the pier for Manhattan terminal cruises and in the garage for Cape Liberty cruises.  We do walk off departure and can usually get home before noon time.  Sometimes a bit later if we drive through RI to pick up our dogs who stay near Oakland Beach.  I know that for longer cruises the stay and park packages can be cheaper, but for us we pay the extra to get home quicker as well as be able to leave the day of.
There is a bus that travels from Worcester to Cape Liberty which some of our neighbors took for a Breakaway cruise a few years back.  But there are so many stops on that bus that they got back home around midnight!  They hated it.  No way for me...

I like the sound of the Embassy Suites since there will be four of us.  Myself, sure and two sons (19&22).  May be I can book a white that's e effectively cheaper than two standard rooms... Even if not they always have breakfast, a bar, etc.  Makes for a nice stay.
I've read up on the port garage and it sounds all positive - Easy in, easy out. May be there's cheaper options but $22 a day isn't awful especially for the ease and convenience.

Thanks for that great blog during your Anthem cruise Sabrina. Well done!   We are now seriously reconsidering a January cruise out of Cape Liberty due to the cold. Not a fan. Not a fan at all. We enjoyed your insights on the ship, food, and activities as well.
Now going to sniff out an autumn or spring cruise out of Bayonne....

We like Embassy Suites. I do not use the shuttle, though, I park at the pier. It saves a ton of time on the way home, it is convenient, and it is a covered parking ramp/garage.

We hired Leo Brown on "Easter Saturday", he is fabulous.
When we met him, there was another group of 4, the "mom/wife" was Marion. I am Mary Ann..... well, I booked with Leo via text, Marion booked with Leo's wife via text... so the Canadians and the New Yorkers spent the day on Leo's entire island tour, I think we saw everything.
It worked out just fine with the double booking,  we all had a good laugh, then he tried to charge me less for the day.
It was a lot of fun, our family will hire him again.
He is a safe, friendly and knowledgeable driver.
But if he gives you beverages before noon, and you need to ... tinkle, just let him know!  LOL

For anyone considering a cruise to NZ, please please please don't let this tragic incident put you off. I have travelled New Zealand a few times and it is a magical place. I even experienced some earthquake aftershocks (late 2011) and this has not put me off revisiting in the future.
The Kiwis are big of heart, with amazing natural landscapes and a brilliant culture. I look forward to my next trip there and showing my kids around.

Wife is doing ok. We are still on the ship. We will try to enjoy as much of all things the Oasis have to offer. Ship offered a x-ray at San Juan for the final assessment. And we got the wheelchair to make things easy. Now we are going to the cc meet and mingle, after that I have gift exchange at Jazz on 4 at 11 am 50 people signed up.

Oasis is NOT a new ship.  She has been spruced up but it's still like buying a used car from the new car dealership.  They've cleaned her up real nice, but the old body is still there.  It doesn't detract from my overall experience at all, but it didn't feel as modern everywhere as Symphony did.  However, having been on all four Oasis class ships now this one comes in 2nd place for me.  Symphony is still my number 1.  She was my first, and you always remember your first.  But the AMPlification was executed pretty well overall.  They integrated some new technhology into the ship which was nice.  I've never gotten so much use out of a WOW band before this cruise.
As for sailing without the drink package, I found it really easy on this sailing to get by without the drink package.  I wasn't with a raucous group of cruisers calling for shots hourly.  I don't sit in the sun or really drink fruity drinks.  I was fine with waiting until 4:30 when the Diamond Lounge opened to have a couple of drinks.  If I wouldn't have had the free drinks, I likely would have used the high drink prices as an excuse to not drink at all.  Having the 3 Diamond drinks on my card, the Diamond BOGO deal, and access to the Diamond Lounge is the perfect combination for me when I'm not on a social cruise.  I don't dare go on a RCL Blog group cruise without a package, though.  I know how that will end up!  ?

Royal nailed everything here.  The sets and costumes were great.  All of the actors and actresses did a good job.  Singing and dancing was excellent.  It appears to be updated and modern.

As for condensing from the original, I know musicals are supposed to be about music and have songs but this entire show was song after song. There really was no in between the songs points which could have helped someone unfamiliar with the musical figure out what is going on.  (Spoiler alert: a cat dies.)
I had to Google it to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I followed The Gift on Anthem better than this.  I'd like to think that's on Andrew Lloyd Webber and not Royal though.
