I will be on Icon again for the Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise (http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/events) in June. I won't be blogging live as what happens on a Group Cruise stays on a Group Cruise, but I will pop in and give some insight as to how the ship is handling what I expect to be is a full capacity sailing with tons of kids over the 4th of July holiday.

Oh it’s like that for the group cruises. Well now I really need to do one of those

That is what I am struggling with as well. I think in the end, I would need the price to drop a bit, and book two Sky Juniors or the loft. First world problems, I know, but I will soon have a 16/18 year old. Two bathrooms is necessary for peace.

Time to slum it and book to regular balconies like the rest of us peasants 🤣

It appears that there are exactly 4 actual chairs in the Aqua Theater ?  ....and they appear to be in the splash zone ?  Those benches look really uncomfortable.

Yeah I like how in aqua theater they had a row of chairs in between each row of bleacher seating.  While there are a few chairs spots, some up behind the bleachers it appears, to me it doesn't look like enough.  And it also just seems like a lot less seating that the aqua theater.

  4. Was just coming to post about this sale and saw you beat me to it.  I originally booked at about $49/person a month or so ago.  While I felt that was a little high, just the wife and I were going on this cruise coming up Mar 1 so thought it would be a good time to check it out.  Later cancelled and rebooked for $34.99.  Today saw it was down to $26.99.  I like your $19.99 better, but still glad I have saved over $40 on my original booking for the 2 of us.

Hubby has chimed in with feedback for the slides here at Thrill Island. He loves them. He said they are pretty much replicas of the ones from Thrill Waterpark on PDCC. In fact, he even said that if we sail Icon class again, there would be zero reason to buy tickets to Thrill Waterpark at PDCC. You might be missing some of the adrenaline from daredevil’s slides on the island, but is that worth the extra ticket cost? Personal choice, but his vote would be no.

Thank him for this. Since we have our kids for that cruise I was originally wanting to do the water park but tickets are like $180 right now which to me is absurd.

Believe it or not, we have joked about this. But we don’t have the space in the backyard, or the right climate.

I've actually considered could I make a business out of it here in IL where I live and do several of them indoors.  I'm just not sure there are enough crazy's like me and your husband to make a business out of it 🤣

The little things that matter to me. Last night in the SL, I asked Joel (a bartender there) if he could make a Lavender Martini. He said they did not have the syrup. So after some back and forth, and lots of laughs, he made me some unknown martini of his own creation. It was pretty good, and I called it Joel’s martini. Today, after my crepe and Hibiscus Tea from Rye & Bean, I stopped by the SL to grab a bottle of water. Joel was there, he passed over a bottle of water, and then proceeded to show me a brand new bottle of lavender syrup. He said it’s for when I return later tonight. These are the little things, that go a long way with me. ❤️

That is great customer service. Above and beyond!

Does this mean you've converted back to being a WJ person? 😂 at least for noodles?

I agree so much! I'm just sitting at my computer looking at Icon of the Sea prices... but that's all I'm doing - looking, I can't afford to sail on her... so I'll just live vicariously through this live blog and the mods

if you are interested I would definitely reach out to a TA and see what prices they have.  some of them might still have group rates available for some sailings at about half the cost of what the website shows.  Not a guarantee, but worth checking.

The FlowRider’s widow club is real. I did not really believe my friend when he first welcomed me to the club but I get it now 😂

Neither of us are good at it "yet hopefully", but my wife I think enjoyed trying as much as I did so she will probably be at the flowrider with me instead of in the widow club.  When it comes to the casino though, she is definitely part of the widow club.  I generally try to go late at night after she has gone to bed at least, I should get some credit for that.
