This is a Royal Suite. It's as close as you get to Star Class on Celebrity.

Celebrity has a shoreside program that actually seems to work. They call you to get all the preferences to stock your minibar. You can get beer too, but none of us have been drinking beer lately.

Not sure what the Diet Coke is doing contaminating my Coke Zero. I don't think we asked for that, so maybe shoreside isn't so great.

You get to pick 2 bottles of liquor for the room and this is what my brother chose. They also had Acqua Panna so my mother is pleased.

talk to me about the beds, ashley.

are they more/less comfortable than royal????

I will take notes later and get back to you on this.

Warning..I have never had any issue with any Royal bed ever so I am likely not the best person for this task.

thank you + i appreciate this in advance.

J says she thinks the beds are also fine but i find them hard as rocks.

celebrity luring me in here with the cashmere bedding/mattress and making me think they will be soft.... i guess we will see.

They can also vary... a lot... even on the same ship. We switched cabins during our only B2B on Indy in 2022. I've never had a problem with any mattress on RC but one was what I'd consider normal/average while the other was one step away from sleeping on concrete. I like firm and was OK with it but my wife had to have our stateroom attendant put a folded up comforter under her half (they had no egg crates or they were all or taken or I forget what).

What made your mom book this sailing?

Who knows? She did the carrot on a stick thing to me and said it's all inclusive and you get a free day off work for MLK. She wanted to try it since Port Canaveral is closer than Ft. Lauderdale.

She's Pinnacle on Royal so she is Zenith on this ship. Most staff don't recognize the difference and assume she has sailed Celebrity a lot.

Definitely a lot more Zenith on board out of PC than Ft. Lauderdale. Royal just keeps churning them out 😂

I wasn't going to live blog this out of laziness..but when I was run over by a Zenith this morning and later watched two vintages roll their loofah-adorned suitcases into the Retreat waiting area, I thought how could I not?

This is my kind of live blog... looking forward to following along!

Sadly, they were useless for us in November/December on Ascent and Beyond. My parents and I had 2 sky suites next door to each other on a total of 3 sailings (2 7 nighters on Ascent Thanksgiving and the week before, and an 11 nighter on Beyond for Christmas/Hannukah/NYE), on the Thanksgiving cruise on Ascent, my dad was celebrating his birthday and he asked shoreside for a reservation in Fine Cut that night, they told him it was sold out. I went online that evening and booked it in the cruise planner, nearly every time slot was still available that night so clearly the person didn't even look. I didn't even pick up on their phone calls after that. None of our preferences made it to the ship either but thankfully our Butler, Dino, on Beyond was amazing and really went above and Beyond (pun intended), no comments on the one on Ascent.

And yes, I was too lazy to live blog those cruises, sorry haha, wasn't sure Celebrity content would be popular on here but I guess it is.

My mother decided as soon as they announced rooms were open was the time to explore the ship. I thought it would be a good time to hang out in the room.

Elevators have been fun. 🙃

Why hang out in our suite that is stealing my inheritance when we can hang out in the Retreat Lounge 🙄

Makes sense that they only allow true Zeniths to visit the lounge...the Pinnacle Zeniths wouldn't all fit in here.

They have a drink menu of course.

Freebie snacks

Definitely don't go out of your way since we all know there's little chance I'm ever sailing Celebrity for various reasons, but just in case, I'd love to see any other included food options if you happen to stray away from the suite areas (which look great but don't help me, lol).

I remember following one other Celebrity blog (maybe Sabrina's) and thinking the suite stuff looked great but the commoner food options were lacking.

You did make that comment back in the summer when I blogged on the Reflection.

We're going to find out what X life is like outside of the Retreat. Hubby and D16 decided we are keeping our Silhouette sailing next August to Iceland. Because I fear airfare cost, I booked us in two cabins in Concierge Class. I have no clue what that will get me but not the Retreat.

The Retreat is the suite product on Celebrity. You get access to The Retreat Lounge if you're in one of the suites.

I guess I was a little confused. Zenith members have access to the retreat but only if they are "real" Zeniths?

It is confusing...they will cut off access to Zenith if there are too many. Zenith never get access to Luminae, which is the suite restaurant and I think they don't get the Retreat Sun Deck either?

They get a premium drink package so I'm not sure why they would want to be in the Retreat Lounge anyways other than just because they can.
